On Thursday, June 19, 2025, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway hosted a reception at Skaugum Estate for diplomats representing embassies in Norway. Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit welcomed guests to the reception, which took place on the terrace of Skaugum in Asker.

“We live in a time when multiple crises require global solutions. We can only overcome these challenges by working together,” said Crown Prince Haakon in his speech to the diplomats. He added, “The diplomatic corps is a cornerstone of international cooperation. Your skills, dedication, and patience are needed now more than ever.”

During the reception, Crown Princess Mette-Marit introduced musician Gjermund Larsen, who performed several pieces on the traditional Norwegian Hardanger fiddle. It is an annual tradition for the Royal House to meet with diplomats through a reception or formal dinner. For the occasion, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a round-neck fitted blazer by Malina.

    L'association du blazer ajusté à col rond avec le pantalon de la même couleur est parfaite ; j'ai pu remarquer que Mette-Marit a raccourci ses cheveux, cela a donné de délicates anglaises !

    The lady in the violet outfit in the third picture looks like a fairy!
    I don't like these wide pants for Mette-Marit, but the colour is wonderful for her. The first photo shows how much beautiful Ingrid Alexandra is a perfect mixture of her parents.

    The tummy-baring jackets with the reverse V cut are everywhere ... what a silly, silly design feature. Even for very slim persons, and all the more for normally build but not slim persons. Why do women follow?
