On May 16, 2025, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended the second day of the 2025 Royal Windsor Horse Show (RWHS) at Windsor Great Park in Berkshire. The Duke serves as President of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, while the Duchess is its Vice-President. On this occasion, the Duchess wore a new midi shirt dress by Suzannah London, paired with a light khaki satin-cotton blazer by ME+EM.

Wow, well done, Duchessa Sophie!!
ReplyDeleteI see she's veering towards a long hairstyle.
Beautiful hair shade and lovely overall presentation.
ReplyDeleteI like the blazer on the model. But I would never wear that color blazer over that dress. Handbag is a mismatch for the dress. Does she even look at herself in the mirror before she leaves home?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you V.Dogwood.
DeleteFor sure she looks in the mirror before she leaves home. And likes what she sees or she’d change. I think we can assume that Sophie is happy with her outfits which is what counts. I checked the dress on the manufacturers website and it’s got plenty of shading matching the jacket. The bag matches the top of the dress and the shoes, and it’s all looking relaxed and comfy for a day with horses. Very British, and looking very good.
DeleteEveryone should ask themselves the same question.
DeleteThe whole has a very nice colour combination. It's a nice summer outfit to visit an outdoor event and that together with her smiling pretty face, well done Sophie.Still I think she could do in general a bit better in less voluminous clothes. Especially cause she is not that tall.
ReplyDeleteIt is a no for me from head to toe. This outfit is too busy, the jacket is fine on its own but not worn with the dress.

I love the outfit of the lady in the first picture : dark orange skirt and black top.

DeleteA nice "Town-n-Country" look for Duchess Sophie.
ReplyDeleteA pretty good definition,
Delete@ Deadeggs, though I am iffy about pairing the dress with the jacket.
There is something jarring in the overall presentation.
Anyway, I didn't pay attention to the combo at first glance as I was more interested in the Duchess's longer hairstyle.
Town & Country magazine is still being printed.
DeleteThey say in their publicity that it is a lifestyle magazine for “affluent readers”.

Well indeed, she could do better, but this is who she is, and I appreciate her hard work, plus style aside, she looks great, so I'm happy to see her.

On this side of the pond, khaki usually is a shade of tan. The blazer looks definitely olive green, but as long as everyone had a nice time, that's what really counts. Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely dress. Wish more members of the RF had joined in this outdoor event.

Love the dress, love the jacket, but do not like them worn together. At all. If a jacket was required for whatever reason, and this colour jacket had to be the one, then a simpler dress and colour underneath would have been better, or even some nice fitted summer pants and a top, rather than covering the style of this Suzannah dress under a manly looking jacket and presenting a diminished overall look that could otherwise have been quite casually elegant.

I love the dress, but a bolero style jacket, one that sat on the waist would have elevated the look. This jacket is out of place with the dress. I’m also not a fan of her handbags. They seem a little girly. I hope she invests in a Tote handbag for such occasions.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
