The hemlength on Sophie's dress is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she has been reading our comments!
Agree !!
DeleteTotally agree. I hope she will shorten all her other ankle lenght dresses.
DeleteBeautiful. The length of this Etro dress is really nice for her.
ReplyDeleteOh what a pity: such a lovely face and such dull clothes.
ReplyDeleteEtro dress: too little colour and too short (!)
Suit: too little colour too.
Seriously? Did you just say her dress is too Short??? It comes below the knees. You would see her in her long floppy florals maybe? I'm baffled.
DeleteAnd laughing. I guess the royals just can't get it right for some of us.
@Virginia Dogwood I ignored this comment when I first read it because I assumed Anon 13:09 was a troll.
DeleteWith Virginia on this comment!
DeleteOMG, that look, how absolutely gorgeous. Wish she'd wear that length instead of all her Maxi's which do nothing for her
ReplyDeleteSO TRUE and with those wwll shaped legs!!!!
DeleteOMG, that look is absolutely gorgeous. Wish she'd wear that length instead of all her maxi outfits which do nothing for her
ReplyDeleteWell here's a shocker - Sophie in a shorter dress! She looks good and should wear this length more often. I love Etro dresses and their fabric designs and this one is no exception.
ReplyDeleteHer pink suit looks good too and I like the blouse she has paired it with, though the pointy shoes poking under the flared trousers looks a bit odd to me.

The Duchess of Edinburgh must have read many of our posts encouraging her to shorten the length of her dresses! She looks wonderful in this dress and the length is perfect for her. My hope is that this becomes her new go to dress code. Additionally, the pink pantsuit is also a great choice for Sophie! Well done.
ReplyDeleteNow that the length of the dress is O.K., there is something at the waist which is not beautiful. Is the waistline too high or should she wear a small belt ? I don't know. The pink pant suit is looking good. But the blouse underneath is not the right style, a plain top in a darker shade of pink or wine red would be lovelier. The 2 pairs of shoes are looking vintage to me.
ReplyDeleteYes the two pairs of shoes are very dainty and sweet, aren’t they?
DeleteSuch a relief to see her in dress thats not a maxi; full length. But then it looks like she wore stockings, still good.
ReplyDeleteThe suit also a great choice, for this event, looks professional!
The stockings are the one fail to that outfit. I am thrilled that her dress is shorter.
Delete@ Stockings which are well chosen should not be a fail. I think the Princess of Wales always wear stockings to assist at the different events. If the stockings (or tights) are very thin they can make the legs look better, especially legs that don't get much sunshine.
DeleteThey are a fail because they are too dark. If they were nude, my eye wouldn't have been drawn to them.
DeleteThis is a wonderful Etro-dress!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress, and a moderate length that looks good! — Jane
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasure to see D. Sophie in the Etro dress, so perfectly proportioned for her figure. I like the Theory suit too. It’s a lovely colour for her and fits well. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteBoth outfits are very nice. The length of the dress takes 10 years off her age. The pink suit is a nice colour on her. I also like her hair styles this way.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow and wow! This is the length we all been looking for!!!
ReplyDeleteCould we collect signatures to petition this to be her go to dress length??
She truly looks lovely
Luna
Big wow, my only quibble would be a nice thin belt at the waist
