On May 12, 2025, Queen Máxima visited a group of medical personnel undergoing training to become reservists in the Armed Forces. The participants in the Civilian Medical Personnel training program were engaged in the "groundbreaking activities" module at the Geulhemmercave in Limburg. Upon completing their training as military personnel and officers, they will become deployable for missions and exercises.
The Civilian Medical Personnel program lasts eight consecutive weeks and includes a process of appointment, medical assessment, security screening, and training as military personnel and officers. The training focuses on military basic skills, orientation to the armed forces, and personal development. The Queen joined the participants for breakfast early in the morning and spoke with them about their training, later taking part in some of the activities herself.
The Institute for Cooperation between the Armed Forces and Civilian Hospitals (IDR) provides specialist medical personnel for military deployment. Through the IDR, military medical specialists are placed in fourteen civilian hospitals across the Netherlands. These specialists work alongside the hospitals’ regular staff and are available for military deployment, including overseas missions, for several months each year.
What a good sport she is, not afraid to participate. She looks very nice in uniform with her hair tied back.
ReplyDeleteMilitarization continues, I see. Dangerous & sad times. Nothing to be happy about.
ReplyDeleteIndeed...
DeleteAgree, I hope that we won't recognize too late that peace is the highest value.
DeleteWow, Maxima is a real trooper! This reminds me of the time when she was visiting a transport depot a few years ago. She kicked off her high heels, jumped into the cab of a huge truck with a trailer attached, and then backed the whole rig into a parking spot! She's not afraid to get involved in challenging circumstances. Total respect!

That’s an impressive story re backing the truck! And yes she has my total respect too.
DeleteI remember that! She is fantastic!
DeleteI love that she is so willing to participate. I have to say, the zip line looks like a lot of fun.
Fabulous. Proud of my Dutch Queen. And even her hair looks terrific!

Beaucoup de respect envers Maxima qui sait nous montrer ses capacités de sportive ; certaines devraient suivre son exemple !
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised there's been no pictures of Maxima at the Feria de Abril in Sevilla, dancing flamenco. She was there solo.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, her participation. She looks good in uniform, her hair back lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Maxima participate in this practice. Love to see her this way. You go Q Maxima.

My great admiration to Queen Maxima going through this exercise. Shows such respect for the military and their training reservists. She exhibits great poise and confidence. I had my reservations about her flamboyance years ago, but now she impresses me more every day!!
