On Saturday, May 24, Prince Albert II attended the third practice session of the 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. Later in the day, Prince Albert and Princess Charlène visited the stand of the Monegasque Association for the Physically Disabled. On this occasion, the Prince and Princess gifted caps signed by Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc.
Situated on the ramparts of Monaco-Ville, this specially adapted viewing area for people with reduced mobility offers one of the best vantage points on the circuit. For the occasion, Princess Charlène of Monaco wore a printed striped silk canvas blouse by Hermès.

Oh what a lovely Hermes top. We rarely see this brand here but they do put out some lovely pieces from time to time. I love this one, especially the delicate gathered/ruffled cuff. The simple loose styling of the blouse as well as the fabric pattern placement and the deep V-neck is very pleasing to the eye as well. I think that lighter coloured trousers (white or cream perhaps) instead of the black pair Charlene has worn would have been more harmonious to the pale colours of the top. Black is too stark a contrast.

What a nice blouse, lovely colours. The princess has lovely long arms so a sleeve that falls halfway on her forearm would be in better proportion. However it is still a very pleasing look.
ردحذفThe cream color does wonders for her face, so much better than black. And I agree, the contrast with the black pants is too strong. What a lovely face she has. Wish I could encourage her to stay away from black close to her face.
ردحذفWunderschön das Oberteil, die Fürstin Charlene hier in sehr flachen Schuhen und die Hose, ich denke das ist das Licht und real ist es ein blau wie in der Bluse. Ich mag auch ihre Haare, sie ist sehr bei sich ansonsten könnte sie nicht immer so perfekt und geschmackvoll und vor allem so wandelbar mit ihrer Kleidung spielen. Fürstin Charlene und Prinzessin Marie sind für mich die Top Klassiker an Stil, Eleganz, strahlender Frische und Natürlichkeit. Looks ok - but checking prices on Hermès where tshirts begin at US$700 (!) the likely price is around US$4000 for this shirt and I find the pricing obscene. I think she looks unbeatable in a clean tshirt or polo shirt with neat trousers and sneakers - a navy blazer if it’s cooler - and would have much preferred that look here for what is afterall a sporty loud outdoor practise session.

حذفYes I agree with Anon and P that such prices are completely obscene. The stuff is nice enough but really nowhere near worth the prices for some of these brands. They are not that special and yet their fame commands outrageous pricing!
حذفAgree with 9:23, Charlene looks so good in sporty attire and I don’t love this blouse - - versus her in a white polo and navy slacks and white running shoes. Love seeing her at her happiest which seems to be at sports related events, in sportswear!

I mean, I am not in the least blown away by the Hermès (or other extra- luxury brands such as Dior or Chanel) tag prices.
Let's talk about their most iconic bags, for example.
They are not only pricey products, but also registered trademarks.
This means that they are original creations and possessing an ownership entails having rights on them.
I am somewhat puzzled by your comments on prices, which you - I don't know to what extent intentionally- omitted when Queen Mathilde once sported her Lady Dior bag on a post.
What's the difference between Charlene and Mathilde donning luxury numbers?
If you buy one of these original products , it's just like making an investment.
You see, the Kelly/ Birkin models by
Hermès or other iconic bags from Dior/ Chanel , which are often referred to as " frames", are just like works of art.
Many fashion houses, including more affordable ones, produce bag models inspired by those luxury brands.
Many of the quilted bags that come out from even low- cost brands are inspired by the basic ,original and famous Chanel model.
What's more, prices do vary according to the bag dimensions, both in the original and inspired items.
Prices are a moot topic of discussion on this blog given that only royals are featured and they are expected to often sport luxury pieces - be it clothing articles or accessoires.
The navy trousers pick up the blue in the blouse, for me a perfect combination. The more so as it would be difficult to find a beige/ecru/eggshell/whatever shade that goes well with the shades of the blouse. This is also not the case on the model. I prefer the quiet repeat of the blue in the trousers, the shades of the blouse show themselves cleaner.

La couleur chemisier se marie parfaitement avec le pantalon qui me semble t il n'est pas noir mais bleu marine.
I agree I would buy this blouse in a heartbeat. I would suspect that in person the contrast with the dark pants would be much nicer than the photo shows.

ردحذفLucky the royals and other rich and famous people are buying these brands. There are people who are working for these brands. If nobody can buy it anymore a lot of people would loose their job.
