On Sunday, May 25, 2025, Queen Mathilde of Belgium participated in the 45th edition of the Brussels 20km Run. The race covers a distance of 20.1 km and has been organized annually in Brussels since 1980. Despite the heavy rain, approximately 45,000 people attended the event. The Brussels 20km race is a major event in the city, attracting large crowds of supporters, and the route passes by some of the most beautiful monuments and parks in Brussels.

ReplyDeleteVery courageous of Queen Mathilde to participate at the 20km of Brussels in the rain. The women in the red T-shirts are participating always together with the queen. I recognize their faces from last year and from other more or less sporty events. I think they are a few women of the group of the queen's ladies in waiting, or they might also be a group of Queen Mathilde's best friends.
