Benedikte Astrid Ingeborg Ingrid, Princess of Denmark, was born on April 29, 1944, at Amalienborg, as the daughter of King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid, who was born a Princess of Sweden. Princess Benedikte is included in the line of succession to the Danish throne.
