During a state visit, it is customary to hold a reciprocal event where the guest expresses gratitude to the host country for the visit. On December 7, 2024, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, hosted a dinner at the Sølyst Estate in Klampenborg. King Frederik and Queen Mary, along with Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte, were the guests of honor for the evening. The President of the Arab Republic of Egypt is on a state visit to Denmark.
Sølyst is a former country house located near the Øresund coast in Klampenborg. The country house Sølyst was acquired in 1948 by the Royal Copenhagen Shooting Society, which is among Denmark’s oldest associations.

And match the top beneath with same colored shoes. Mary's pumps are very quirky.

Princess Marie looks lovely, though the shoes are a not in keeping with the rest of the outfit. PB, lovely as ever, though the skirt does not really match, or maybe its the type of fabric, caught by the cameras glare that made it look out of place.

حذفAll the ladies look great. The color of Mary’s suit is divine and velvet is so luscious. She looks so nice with her hair a bit off center and tucked behind her ears. Marie is just flat out gorgeous…love her hair and black velvet suit. Not sure about the silver shoes but they do compliment her silver top. And

Queen Mary is stunning in her purple velvet Temperley suit--I love this suit! Her shoes are fabulous. I think her brooch is interesting. Feel sure I've seen it before but cannot remember much about it. I liked Marie's look except for her shoes--black would have been so much better. But then I saw the athletic-looking stripe down the trouser leg. I know it could be the photo flash on a satin stripe like tuxedo trousers have but I don't think it is. No matter what--I don't like the shoes paired with the suit. Princess Benedikte looks fabulous--what a beautiful dress!

ردحذفVery nice. Nice to see the king is now wearing trousers that are not as tight in the leg. On the fence with his matching tie, I think perhaps just a touch of the matching colour rather than solid would of looked better, since the queen in wearing a solid colour. PB the best look imo. Mary & Marie twinning.
ردحذفHow nice to see princess Marie participating in this event too, as the guest of honor with princess Benedikte. All three women look good, those velvet pantsuits are modern and cool looking. I only wish that Marie had chosen a silver clutch with her silver shoes but it's fine like that for me.
ردحذفMary looks very pretty in this violet velvet outfit. The color is beautiful. I can't tell what kind of butterfly brooch she's wearing on her lapel. Marie looks so different. She's prettier. I like her outfit, but I don't like the side trim on her pants. It looks like sportswear. The classy Bendikte is dressed in good old classic style. I like it too. But I think the skirt could be a little longer.

ردحذفI love Pss Marie’s brown velvet Armani suit,I wish she’d have gone with the same color shoe,the sparkly shoe doesn’t give it a fluid finish. Her beautiful hair and make up,are spot on.
QM Temperley suit is just as lovely and luxurious. I wish she didn’t have her hair so straight,I find it a little harsh.
Pss B - I thought over the two nights she seemed a little unsteady in her balance. We forget her age,and how she still turning up and doing her duty,all whilst looking so elegant and sophisticated.

ردحذفIf only she had worn dark shoes with her dark brown (black ?),suit and took a golden or silver clutch.
I find it so lovely that Mary and Marie seemed to have coordinated their outfits: velvet suits with matching tops and shoes. I really like the luscious tones, especially the purple one on Mary. But I wished both of them, especially Marie chose different shoes. That being said, Marie's hair and make up were fabulous.

Mary's suit is fabulous! The colour is amazing and looks great on her. Love the little tie coordination moment with the King. I'm not entirely sold on Marie's combo - the suit is good, albeit somewhat reminiscent of a tracksuit in places, and I would've maybe chosen a different shoe or general colour scheme to go with it. Her styling is beautiful, though.
