The state visit from the Arab Republic of Egypt has come to an end, and on the morning of December 8, King Frederik and Queen Mary bid farewell to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi at Christian VII’s Palace at Amalienborg. Before departing from Denmark and continuing to Norway, the President of Egypt signed a windowpane.
When guests of princely rank or heads of state conclude a state or official visit, they traditionally sign a windowpane as a gesture of farewell. The pane will be displayed at one of the royal palaces as a memento of the President’s state visit to Denmark.

حذفThis blue pantsuit looks wonderful, I love the jacket, especially. The fit of this outfit is perfect. Love the color, beautiful shade of blue, suits the Queen well. The black jumper equally a good choice. She has the most perfect posture.
ردحذفRegarding the fit: I think the jacket fits well though it wouldn´t hurt to go up a size. And the trousers are sitting too low on her. The crotch should be 3-4cm higher up, and that would also bring the total length up and prevent this sweeping-the-floor effect. I still think it´s a good-looking suit, but I would call the fit perfect.

ردحذفGorgeous suit!!! I love the color on Queen Mary--she looks beautiful here. The fitted jacket is perfectly fitted. Everything Mary wears from The Fold is wonderfully designed and so well fitted. Love she added the black turtleneck for extra warmth.

Mary is succh a fan of the British fashion. Even I have more items from Danish fashion brands than Mary. Such a missed opportunity. Royal ladies are supposed to showcase the fashion industry of their contries - look at Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, UK.
ردحذفAre you sure that they are supposed to do so or is it a mythos? Queen Elizabeth in her later years never did that and no one complained.
حذفThat is not a thing. They can wear whatever they choose to. It is understandable that they would highlight local designers when they can, but their wardrobes should be what they like as well.

حذفI thought it was a certain Mrs Kelly who made Queen Elizabeth's clothes, especially in her later years. When she was younger she had sometimes beautiful evening gowns, probably by Dior or another famous designer.

Anon 21.28, I understand your perspective, but I think Mary's fashion choices reflect her personal style rather than a lack of support for Danish designers. While it's true that royals often promote national fashion, Mary's global style is a part of her broader international role. Fashion is subjective, and perhaps she feels that international designers align more with her tastes or the occasions she attends. It’s also possible that Danish fashion doesn't always fit the formality or visibility needed for some royal events.

Beautiful suit and looks perfect on QM. But I am disappointed in many of her fashion choices since becoming Danish Queen. She seems to prefer a business-like look. A pants suit feels too casual to me for a high-level official event, and is boring for fashion observers like me. S.M.
