  1. Superbe Victoria dans ce genre d'uniforme ; elle me fait penser un petit peu à une hôtesse de l'air !

  2. Wow pretty! Bring back knee-length ... best length ever for many women, at a point where it corresponds so well with body structure. And as always, simple and well fitted is best for her.

    1. And she should be! But I think Silvia and the king works even more. The royals live in luxury and must of course work for it.

I think you don't know how it works in most countries. Normally the government of a country votes every year a budget for the royal house. Almost everywhere only the members of the royal house (the king, the queen, the crown prince/princess and his/her family) receive money from that budget to pay for the costs they have to make to represent the crown and the country. Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustav are still present at the most important events where they are supposed to be present. They are still king and queen. But slowly and surely CP Victoria is taking over more and more duties from her parents who are getting older. I wonder what role is foreseen for Princess Madeleine since her husband has a job and does not seem to have a particular role in the royal house of Sweden ?. You say the royals live in luxury and must of course work for it. They must not work for the luxury but for their country and the fact that they receive money to do their job and be present when they are supposed to be. The luxury they can afford is coming from what they inherited from their ancestors : like property, money, investments, etc... There are also different rules in different countries. Some royal houses are richer than other. Some live a more luxurous life than others, which cannot always be seen by the public. Some are spending more time on vacation than others, etc... I think it is much more complicated than we ever could know.

  7. The jacket is so poorly tailored. The top button has to be either above the chest line or min 3 inches below. In particular for Victoria this is an unfortunate bc of her body type.

I don't think this uniform has been made especially for CP Victoria. The Swedish Women's voluntary defence organization has probably a series of uniforms in stock. Victoria picked one out in her size to wear today. It is like during military service, you wear the clothes they give you. If they are your size you are lucky if not sometimes you have to wait until they give you the right size. Only higher officers who are opting for a military career have uniforms made according their measurements.

  8. I had to look twice at her, she looks great! particularly like the length of her skirt. The white crisp shirt looks equally good.

    1. She didn't choose the uniform herself. She must wear what they give her. Do you think she always like what she must do in several circumstances ? At least she is always smiling and showing she likes to do her job.
