On Tuesday 30 April 2024, King Frederik and Queen Mary invited Princess Benedikte and her family to a birthday lunch in Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. Princess Benedikte was born and raised in Frederik VIII's Palace, which is today the residence of King Frederik and Queen Mary. Princess Benedikte turned 80 on 29 April 2024.
A photo was taken on the occasion of the birthday lunch, which shows, on the back row, Konstantin Johannsman, Princess Nathalie, Countess Ingrid, King Frederik, Queen Mary, Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille, Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Count Richard von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth. At the front sits Princess Benedikte and her two sisters, Queen Anne-Marie and Queen Margrethe.

What a lovely picture with the always elegant birthday girl Benedikte. Although normally I love Margaretha's funny style I am not fond of her choice today. I love the Zimmermann ensemble of princess Alexandra. Mary quite sober but ok. Sometimes lately I think her make-up is very heavy. It seems like a mask

ReplyDeleteMy vote for the “dress of the day” goes to Princess Alexandra with the Zimmermann combination. But overall a good choice was made by the royal ladies.

Maybe there’ll be a special, belated photo shoot of Princess Benedikte with Prince Gustav and Princess Carina and their young family.
In a little over two years, Queen Anne-Marie will celebrate her 80th birthday. They'll need quite a big table to accommodate all the family/s for that occasion.
What a lovely family photo, love it. The H Boss silk blouse with neck tie, I love, unusual blouse. The skirt is gorgeous, lovely to see a repeat of this outfit. Pss Alexandra looks superb in Zimmermann, a most wonderful Australian brand. This outfit looks just lovely, it has some interesting details which adds to the attraction. Pss Bene looks splendid. I love her beige outfit and two tone shoes, lovely addition. She looks wonderful.
