  1. I think we have seen this lovely classic dress on Mary at least twice before.
Sofia's dress just doesn't look quite right to me.
A pity that the Crown Princess and her family seem to be in a shadow.
Can't wait to see the pictures from the gala evening.

C'est la dernière photo qui permet de mieux voir la princesse Sofia dans une petite robe qui lui va à merveille tout en montrant ses belles jambes !

Beautiful and historical arrival with the old boat Vasaslupen. Must be dreadfully heavy for the 18 rowers. Queen Mary excellent in the beautiful white dress, interesting hat and warming cape. Queen Silvia looks very festive in her coat and dress and I liket he colour combination, very much like spring flowers. It is har do see what the CPs dress really looks like. Hopefully we will se better pictures. She looked lovely waiting on the pier with pink coat and hat. Sofia looks like she is part of the housekeeping.

They all look good for such a formal event. I just wish that the bows in Mary's hat was smaller. It looks like weird when photo is taken from upfront.

All the ladies look wonderful! Mary is her usual elegant self and Queen Sylvia’s bright pink coat is certainly eye catching. The rose pink on Victoria is pretty and flattering. It’s a shame that in the last picture she and her family are hidden in the shadows so it’s difficult to get a good look at any fashion details. Estelle is growing up so fast and is so pretty in her pink ruffles. And how cute is Oscar in his suit?

At first when Mary stepped out of the boat I thought she lookes like a nurse in the years 50 last century. But at last I saw her simple white dress which was sober and elegant. Victoria's suit in a lovely colour is imv a bit ruined by the length of her skirt. Love her little hairpiece.

I had the same impression about the nurse’s vibe, without the cape, the dress is sober and classy. Still on the fence about the hat.

    1. Sofia seems to have her own style with short dresses nowadays and I like it. The dress is not expensive, 128 € with 50% discount now. They all look fine for me, I like the colour of Victoria's and Estelle's dresses.

I agree! She looks beautiful coming off the boat. Once I saw the gloves...swoon! I must reserve judgement for the dress once I have had a better look at it. No matter what, I would have liked to have seen it a little shorter.

I love the color of CP Victoria's dress and coat. A pity we cannot see the dress with or without coat in front. On pic. N° 9 it looks like there is a lot of fabric in the bottom of the coat as well as in the dress. Princess Estelle is looking lovely in pink.

QM: Classic off-white tweed dress, rewear, check. Navy accessories, check. Historic sapphire brooch, check. Clownish 'bow' hat, especially seen from behind, no. Otherwise, she looks lovely.
QS: Bright, cheerful ensemble. A style seen on her many times, though.
CPV: In Christer Lindarw Dior 1950s-inspired look. Nice hair piece. Nice colour. But too much fabric in the coat. Not a fan.
PS: Nurse dress vibes. She has so many unremarkable white/off-white under-300euro dresses, why another new one? Or is it a repeat?

I like Victoria’s outfit the best - the buttons on her dress are very pretty. Gorgeous brooches worn by Mary and Silvia. The arrival by water is fantastic.

That red grey beard is not more or less awful than King Felipe's beard who looks like a very tall dwarf with his white ring beard and King Frederik's beard with a mixture of dark and grey hair. The only one I like with a beard is CP Haakon of Norway.

I love how QM has a strong re-wear policy with her clothes. She adds a something different,in her accessories.A dress as beautiful and feminine as this should be seen again.
QS- Always the epitome of elegance.Though I’m not a fan of mix of colors, she herself wears them with grace.
CPV-The initial look was lovely, but once the jacket was removed, the dress looked baggy and lacking in shape, which was a shame.I definitely got Jackie Kennedy vibes!
The children are just so darn cute.
Really looking forward to the state dinner this evening. Hoping for the Pearl Parure,on Queen Mary!

Mary should throw away this hat and never use it again. Completely ruins the look. The bows on each side of her head is not flattering. There is also something weird with Victorias outfit. In my eyes both the dress and the coat are too long. Take a fifth on Queen Silvia outfit. She's an elderly and I have learned to respect the people older than me ;)

When trying to be respectful about Silvia, it would have been best to say nothing at all. You have said everything you are thinking without saying it.

Queen Mary looks very elegant--and her dress is a repeat that always looks fabulous. I'm on the fence with her hat--when see from the front the bow looks a bit off as in too wide. Queen Silvia is lovely in her bright pink ensemble. I love Victoria's pink! Its a beautiful color for her and its a pretty suit--just wish the hemline on the dress were shorter. Estelle's pretty ruffled pale pink dress is princess perfect. Sofia's dress has promise but I think it needs the belt to have real style as a dress--without the belt it looks like a rather ordinary coat, too plain. I'm really excited to see what everyone's wearing tonight!

I never liked Mary's white dress which she wore in Rome as well. The fabric always reminds me of a bedspread, and she looks so washed out in it.

  25. Anonymous7/5/24 13:45

Thx for adding pictures of CPV. There is indeed too much fabric in the dress as well as in the coat. The dress is too wide and too long. The coat is not bad but has too much fabric in the bottom. The idea was good but the result is a total miss.
