On May 16, 2024, the Child Protection Summit took place at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok. The foundations Childhood and SafeguardKids organized the summit which was opened by Queen Silvia of Sweden and Queen Suthida of Thailand. The summit aimed to raise awareness and mobilize action against sexual abuse of children in Thailand and globally. Over 900 delegates attended, and speakers were from the Thai government, civil society and international child protection experts.
The Childhood Foundation has partnered with organizations working to protect children in Thailand for almost 25 years. In connection with her participation in the Child Protection Summit, Queen Silvia also met with Childhood's local partners in Thailand.

ReplyDeleteQueen Suthida's jewelry is stunning. I think these are modern earrings and brooch but made according a classic model. On the picture one can see the jewels are not old. Her (metal ?) handbag is very special. It looks like a box in which I would conserve thee. Her skirt and top are very lovely. It looks like in Thailand the royals are following the colors that are fashion in Europe this Summer. The queen is a very beautiful woman and her hair looks shiny and is styled beautifully.

If they are following European fashion and colours it is probably because they do a lot of their shopping in Europe, especially France.

Queen Suthida is the fourth wife of the King of Thailand Rama X.
She is 46 years old.
She became Queen Consort in 2019.
A very beautiful Queen, impeccably dressed.

As I have said before not a fan of this skirt suit. Don't like the pattern on the jacket. To "grown" up and old lady like. The photos doesn't show this, but the skirt is a bit to wide. Would also prefer it under the knee, but oh, well that's my taste not the Queen. Her perogative 😉 Suthida on the other hand perfect. Love the dress. Love the colour and love the length of the dress.
