Where did the nice well-groomed hair that Maxima had during the visit of the Spanish royals go? Every time I see her ruined, thin, messy ends, I want to run for the scissors.
I don't like these dresses, no matter who wears them. The pattern is too much for me.

Maxima is more than her hair. I hope the men in your family aren't bald or balding.

Not one of my favourite dresses of Maxima by far. I don't mind the busy print at all except that this busy print hides the design (cut) of the dress and makes the dress looks shapeless. It also looks better full length per the model, instead of the length that Maxima has worn it. I wouldn't have chosen it for this type of event, but for a casual summer garden evening dinner at home with a few close friends.

  4. Not one of my favorites from the Queen regardless she looks in fine form, happy and engaging. I like the purple dress the lady beside her is wearing, suits her well.

Sorry. I can’t find any enthusiasm for this dress. The pattern is too busy and it’s too long. Much prefer the simple blue dress of the lady in the last photo.

Odd, she goes to a barn, sitting in front of hay bales, with a lace dress, fussy little hat, and hair looking nice, to pet cows. Today, hair is once again a total mess, and the dress looks like a mess. Who styles this woman and lets her out of the castle/palace looking like she does. Janie

Hi Janie, when you’re queen of a country you get to choose for yourself I think! We know she can afford a daily hair stylist but as she doesn’t, I think she’s happy that way. That’s fine in a relaxed country like the Netherlands. Whenever you want to critique the hair maybe look to her big smile and how she relates to her people and be assured that the hair is not the focus after all! - Grace

This discussion is on a fashion blog, where the discussants are EXPECTED to comment on the outfit, the dress, the hairstyle, the makeup... and either praise or criticize them. Do you have a problem with that?

      @ Janie, Grace & Mia
Whether you like it or not but Queen Maxima cannot call a daily hair stylist because he cannot do miracles. If she wears her extensions a beautiful hair style can be created. Wearing extensions every day is not possible because very bad for the hair and since she has already thinned and damaged hair even worse. Not to talk about the time it takes. The only thing she could do is cutting her hair short but then it is very difficult to attach extensions to be able to wear a tiara. Everybody knows that tiara's are sometimes heavy to wear and that short hair does not help. Secondly she could wear a little bun in the neck to keep the thin ends together, which she does sometimes.
So, I don't expect this hair situation will change quickly and I have decided for myself, not to talk about her hair any more when I wish to publish my thoughts about her dress, hat, shoes, etc... I am doing the same when it is about CP Victoria just talk about the outfit and not about the hair anymore.
I wish you all a lot of writing pleasure.

I don’t mind the print, but it needs some tweaks. The background yellow/gold is harsh and it should be cut to knee length and a belt added.

  12. I don't mind the dress except for the hem; if the intention is to be asymetric, it should be clearer. To me something wrong with the front. The hair !? Look at hair styling magasines, these extra thin ends is a style. Some like it...

  13. Je suis désolée mais je trouve que Maxima n'est pas avantagée par cette robe ; je préfère celle de la dame vêtue de violet qui a une morphologie qui s'y prête à merveille ; oh la, la, je n'ose pas parler de ses cheveux !!!

The only problem I had with this dress is how it looks at the bottom. Other than that I think she looks beautiful.
