On May 9, Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace to mark 90 years of the charity’s work of bringing hope to working horses, donkeys, and mules. Brooke, founded in the early 1930s, is a UK-based international working horse and donkey charity, which is also a legacy of the WWI. On May 9, Queen Camilla visited the Royal London Hospital to mark Nurses Day. The Queen is Patron of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

  1. Parfaite dans ce style de robe bleue imprimée ; ces chaussures à talons semblent bien confortables !

Finally she is wearing tights in a natural color and nude shoes. The black tights are put away until next winter together with the boots.

Not a bad dress but, I've seen it so many times. I'm sure they could make her a few like this in different prints and not break the bank. And navy shoes would have been better.

  5. One of my favourite prints of Q Camilla's in this style. A nice bright research. Great to see her lovely smile.

Wish she could find comfortable shoes in a slightly more modern style, which is my regular complaint about most people.

Her shoes are not bad at all. They look more modern than her dress.

Sorry, Queen Camilla, this dress is simply not elegant enough for a woman in this elevated position.

Dear Virginia, if you think of it this way: she’s put on a dress and heels to welcome people in jeans to her home along with their animals, so she’s more elegant than most would be doing the same. Camilla really knows how to dress superbly when the occasion calls for it and in between seems to be a relaxed and welcoming lady. Second last pic here shows that superbly. (Grace)

I love this dress! Beautiful pattern and fitted so well. Queen Camilla looks lovely. I also really like her shoes--nice pairing with the dress. The donkeys are so cute and she loves to be with animals. Her dress is also perfect for the hospital visit.

  10. Si je regarde bien les photos, je vois un âne ou un mulet ? ainsi qu'un petit cheval qui ont eu de la chance de se faire câliner par Camilla tout en bénéficiant d'une petite douceur !

Dear Grace, From all the books I have read, I understand that royalty needs a certain magic to it to come across. I think that the Duchess of Gloucester, for example, and she is not a queen, always dresses elegantly, in that spirit. Queen Camilla often does, but not consistently so, that is my point. This dress, I repeat, is quite nice but could be worn by anybody on a trip to the supermarket and therefore disappoints.
