On May 2, King Frederik X and Queen Mary arrived in Fredensborg with the Royal yacht Dannebrog. The King and Queen attended an official reception at Fredensborg Palace. The King and Queen will carry out visits to Sweden, Norway, the Faroe Islands and Greenland, respectively, in the early summer. The Royal Yacht Dannebrog will function as the residence during those trips. The King and Queen will pay a State Visit to Sweden on 6–7 May.

DeleteI usually like what QMary wears but of late she has made some odd choices (imo), this outfit is good. Perhaps this would have been more suitable for boarding the royal yacht with the addition of a navy beret or a sheath dress, knowing it was going to be breezy may have been a better choice and definitely not the rather bridal adornment she had on her head.
ReplyDelete@Deadeggs, without zero intentions of spreading rumors, I will relate what the press published in Europe, this was about a month before the abdication. He was photographed strolling with a very well known Spanish socialite in a very famous Madrid park, furthermore he was photographed entering her building at night and leaving the next morning. This caused a pretty big scandal, to the point that she disappeared from the public eye, since the paparazzi basically camped at her door for weeks. It was published that they have been “ friends” for quite some time, and they often got together in hunting retreats. Of course the Danish Royal House didn’t comment on the issue.

The newspaper also had an article on the upcoming divorce of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It said that the newspaper would be publishing the date in a later edition.
But to read the full article you had to buy a subscription to the newspaper. As I have to watch my weekly budget, I didn’t take up their offer.

ReplyDeleteWell the difference is that they have a salary paid by the people of Denmark. Their job is to represent the Danes, so to give the illusion that their reputation is tarnished, not good. Tabloids will publish whatever in order to make $$. Unfortunately being high profile a problem with their relationship is difficult to say mind your own business.
DeleteThe Hugo Boss silk neck tie blouse is lovely, I like unusual necklines and this is one of them. The Navy pants look good, I am not keen on wide leg pants but these look okay. I don't like the white jacket. The jacket itself is a lovely fit and design its the color I am not keen on. The shoes are gorgeous!. Regardless of my tastes the Queen looks terrific.

What she relates has been reported on every news outlet in Spain. Photographs of the King and this woman have been plastered everywhere, it’s not a matter of opinion. Yes, he has a right to privacy, but when he chose to travel to a foreign country, gallivanting around with a woman, whether friend or foe, and spend the night at her residence instead of the Danish Embassy, he showed very poor judgment. Great privilege comes with great responsibility. I just commented on what every news outlet in Spain reported , and yes even the daily news mentioned the incident, specially because the pictures were published while the Spanish Monarchs were visiting Denmark, and because the woman involved was once married into the most aristocratic family in Spain ( The House of Alba). This woman has been divorced from Cayetano Martinez-Irujo, Duke of Arjona, Count of Salvatierra ( and a few other titles) for several years , and yes they are in good terms since he continues to support her, she doesn’t have a job, other than appearing on TV gossip shows and reality contests. She spent her time in hiding, weeks, in one of his mansions.
ReplyDeleteAs of today she hasn’t sued anybody, simply because there is no law that prohibits photographing people on public venues ( unless they are minors) I am sure that her legal team has advised her against pursuing such matters.
When one goes on blogs to make statements, is a good thing to do it with facts, that’s it.
Isn't it strange that we saw Queen Sonja in wide pants a few days ago and only glowing comments, and she is shorter than Mary. Come on, people do better.
