On May 27, 2024, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the finals of the Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition 2024 at the Center for Fine Arts (Bozar) in Brussels. From Monday 27 May until Saturday 1 June, the 12 finalists are performing. On May 27, two finalists, Hana Chang and Dayoon You performed at Bozar, accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra under the baton of Antony Hermus.

DeleteWow! What a flattering and elegant dress!!! The dress is perfect for Queen Mathilde. Packham dresses are always so glamorous and empowering for the women wearing them. The hairdo and the make-up are also lovely. A great outfit at all.

For the first time Queen Mathilde wears an evening gown by Jenny Packham.

As the dress itself is a jewel on its own, Queen Mathilde decided just to wear her diamond earrings, her wedding ring and on her left hand the ring with the blue sapphire. She looks so elegant and the dress fits her like a glove. I hope that she will buy more dresses by Jenny Packham in the future. I wonder what she will be wearing during the rest of the violin finals this week.
I do love that she wore her hair in an old Hollywood glamour updo which didn't detract attention from the dress.

Absolutely stunning! This might the best look Queen Mathilde has had all year. Everything is perfect. Perhaps Jenny Packham should be a go-to designer for Mathilde for evening clothes.

ReplyDeleteThis JP gown is simply breathtakingly beautiful. I just love it, she looks stunning. The color is divine. Sequined gowns have never appealed to me, but this gown is the exception. The style suits her, especially the waist, where I feel sometimes her fits can be a issue. The fit is perfect, it fits so beautifully. Her small red evening clutch, fabulous as are her red shoes. Her up style hair looks good and her earrings looking to be diamonds just the right size, not overpowering. Beautiful presentation so looks incredible.

ReplyDeleteYesterday King Phil. and Queen Mathilde held a lunch for the members of the jury for the violin competition. In the evening the queen appeared, again in a new coral red dress by Costarellos this time, to assist at the finals of the competition. She went there to replace Prince Laurent and Princess Claire who cancelled their participation. This new dress is very soft and very beautiful too, but something completely different from the Jenny Packham dress.
