    That's a lovely dress that President's wife is wearing. I don't much care for the coat and belt, but the dress underneath is interestingly shaped and cut.
    Victoria looks nice but I'm not in favour of Sofia's dress, colour or length. The fit of the skirt on the model is better than on the dress version Sofia has chosen.

      Suzanne Innes-Stubb is wearing a bespoke outfit by Finnish designer Katri Niskanen. I like it very much.

      Princess Sofia's dress is by Finnish company Andiata. It's a cold day here in Stockholm, not typical for April. She should have worn a jacket.

      A pity the President's wife's dress has an odd hemline (pics 1 & 9). It looks like a dress that has been made quickly shorter but not like it should be done.
      @Anonymous 17:55
      She is the only person that can feel if she needs a jacket or not. I think it is too cold for the time of the year everywhere in Europe, except maybe in the South of Spain, the South of France, in the South of Italy and in Greece.

      I don't think Sofia was freezing, it's the shoulder pads of the dress that make it look like she were lifting her shoulders. And as the pictures were taken indoors and they have central heating, she was certainly quite ok. :-) It's a nice gesture that she chose a dress from a Finnish company.

      @Paula
      .....they have central heating..... Don't forget that the reception rooms in these castles and palaces are difficult to keep warm enough. The royal family does not live in these rooms and are only used to organize receptions, meetings with visitors, conferences, etc... The price we have to pay for gas, electricity, etc... is much higher than about 3 years ago. I can imagine for a big building like a palace it means a considerable amount in the budget.

    Suzanne Inez-Stubb and Victoria look great. Sofia may look a bit girlish because of the colour, but she is wearing Finnish desingn Andiata dress. Cannot wait to see evening gowns and jewels of the ladies today later.

    I had to look twice to recognize Sophia.
    Love her kind of Courrëge dress!

    Il vestito di Victoria è fantastico per modello e colore, ma la signora Suzanne vince su tutti per eleganza e portamento.

      I cannot see that on any of the pictures. What I do see is that she is looking much older all of a sudden. Or she might not feeling well.

      Yes, one eye is red due to cold windy air some other day, the palace explaned.

    I like the dress of the President's wife but not the short coat she is wearing. The black hat is placed in a strange way on her head. Her hairdo asks for a another type of hat. Princess Sofia's dress suits her very well. It looks like the dresses I wore when I was young. With these dresses I wore shoes with block heels and a square nose, like Gucci (lookalike) shoes. CP Victoria's dress is lovely too but a bit old style, love the blue color. Queen Silvia wears a lovely coat in a lovely color, but since she is looking so pale lately a brighter color would have been better. The light beige of her hat and shoes does not go well together with the color of her coat.

      It's funny how we see things. My first thought when I saw Silvia's shoes was how much longer they made her legs look. That is always the beauty of a nude shoe.

    Sofia’s yellow dress looks like a revival of the Courreges style. I know his creations used to be very short, so this version is relatively toned-down, but I would have preferred a slightly longer length.

    The Queen looks unwell in these muddy colours. She is a winter toning, she needs strong clean colours, she suits jewel colours. p Victoria looks very stylish , P Sophia looks like an Air Hostess. The president’s wife’s dress is stylish, however the coat should should have been straight and stylish, looks like a theatre costume and the hat, no.

      I agree. People on this blog who say it is too short or that they don't like it all are better getting used to the fact that dresses and skirt are beginning to be shorter and shorter. We wore our clothes longer during a long period, but like always in fashion everything is coming back. Now there is a trend for shorter dresses and skirts again. Automatically the shoes are flatter and the heels become block heels.
