On the occasion of Earth Day 2024, the Royal Government of Bhutan hosted the Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conference under the patronage of Queen Jetsun Pema. On April 22, Queen Jetsun Pema attended the opening of the Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conference at Dungkar Dzong in Pangbisa.
The two-day summit gathers representatives from countries where tigers live, private and public sector donors, thought leaders, international development agencies, and conservation NGOs for the purpose of fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovative solutions to support the conservation of tigers and tiger habitats.
Established ahead of the 2022 Year of the Tiger, the Tiger Conservation Coalition involves a diverse group of tiger conservation organizations and multilateral agencies, which support tiger range countries in their long-term tiger conservation efforts.
