Crown Princess Victoria wore a green floral print Rina balloon sleeve blouse by Malina. Wij Gardens restaurant and Wij Garden kitchen

Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited Wij Gardens in Ockelbo. Wij Gardens is a garden which has been formed from a rural project situated in a glade in the forest. Wij Gardens offers exhibitions, concerts, events and guided tours – with the luxury of overnight stays and food. For a number of years now, Wij Gardens houses a gardening education. It is carried out solely on site at Wij Gardens and the students design and cultivate their own plots of land every year.

  1. Le fond vert de cette blouse imprimée s'associe bien au bleu de son jean ; à mon avis, je ne trouve pas que les manches ballon conviennent bien !

Victoria’s top is a pretty color but seems a bit fancy to pair with jeans.

I think they’re on a casual day out, probably didn’t intend the casual photo to go to press. Do you, dear anonymous, yourself not have the possibility to go out casually to a garden from time to time and let your hair be natural in the wind? Nice feeling eh? (Grace).

Given they are in a Garden Education Centre, no doubt the four of them have been busy with getting grubby with the soil, worms, seeds, plants + insects. I imagine it would be hard to keep ones hair perfectly presented unless it's laden with hair products. Usually Crown Princess Victoria's hair is kept back rather severely in the same style for all occasions, which does suit her. It's simply a change to see her wearing her hair less formally, wearing it with a garden fresh casualness. Possibly how she has her hair at home or on holidays when she isn't required to be a picture of perfection. It's a lot of pressure on the women of ALL Royal Families, globally. To forever be scrutinized for every outfit, makeup application, smile or no smile, yet the men can rock up in a repeat Suit + tie without criticism. When a female repeats an outfit, it's noted as "recycling" or assigned another adjective. Such demands must be exhausting - emotionally, physically and mentally.

      @ PollyAnna
I admire royal women who recycle their outfits. It means that they are concerned about the impact of waste on the climate change. On the other hand every job has its positive sides and its negative sides. The job of being a royal can indeed be exhausting just like any other job. But in return they have privileges that civilians who have to work generally harder have not. And from who comes the criticism ? From people like us on this blog. Before the social media existed, we saw the royals on tv or in the newspapers, when they went on a state visit or when there was a special event. People had their thoughts too in those days but they didn't had face book, instagram, etc..... on which they could discuss about it. Nowadays royalty is part of our daily life just like showbusiness people. It is normal that we are looking more at the royal women's clothes, make-up, hair, jewelry.... since we are confronted more with them than before.

I wouldn’t have chosen a silky blouse for a rural garden visit, but the colour is lovely on CPV. (V.M.)

Fortunately she can choose what she wants. Why not a silky blouse, beautiful colour.

Love the blouse and the color is great on Victoria but not sure why Victoria is wearing a silk blouse for this occasion.

There is nothing to write home about here. I'm not a fan of this blouse, and considering the criticism about the elephant in the room, I'm not gonna mention it. Anna.
