Together with the Mary Foundation, Queen Mary of Denmark visited Hvidovre Hospital in Copenhagen. Queen Mary took part in Mary Foundation’s evaluation of the project "Together without violence - Pregnant". The Queen met with midwives and a parent couple who have participated in the project and heard about their experiences.
The project is a collaboration between Amager and Hvidovre Hospital, the Mary Foundation, Dialogue Against Domestic Violence and Østifterne Foundation. By screening for partner violence already in pregnancy, "Together without violence - Pregnant" aims to reduce partner violence in connection with pregnancies and family additions.

ReplyDeleteNice business look from Queen Mary. Its not a full-on suit so there is a bit of relaxed element here which I think suits the engagement. Talking with people about pregnancy and violence needs people to be accessible and make those involved feel comfortable. Between Mary's warmth and obvious caring her relaxed outfit is perfect here.

DeleteDark colours are normal and considered elegant in the European winter; and I think she looks stunning in them too… they do tend to flatter most people until the spring is well and truly back! (Grace)
