On March 20, 2024, Britain's Queen Camilla visited the Isle of Man to officially confer city status on Douglas. Queen Camilla made the trip on behalf of her husband King Charles, who has been undergoing treatment for cancer since early February. Douglas was named a city as part of the celebrations for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in May 2022, one of eight communities in the British Isles to receive the honour.
Well done again, Queen Camilla. The boots are probably appropriate this time!

ReplyDeleteQueen Camilla looks fabulous again! And, be still my heart--has she brought the Prince Albert Sapphire Brooch out? Oh I really hope so as it is my favorite brooch in the royal collection and I have so missed it! I really love this coat on her--its pretty and looks so well fitted. I also love the interactions we are seeing with the crowd outside--the baby and the selfie are wonderful and so revealing of her natural warmth and friendliness.

The Court Jeweller website says yes! She wore it vertically this time, which made it look different, but it's fabulous either way.
DeleteQueen Camilla is at her prime. I do like this outfit, I only wish we could see the lovely dress underneath. Her makeup style is one of my favourites amongst the royal ladies.

Lovely blue outfit. The diamond and sapphire brooch is totally stunning!, what a beautiful piece. It is perfect with the blue backdrop of her coat, gorgeous brooch.

Est-ce que j'entrevois une robe sous un manteau ? J'arriverais presque à la confondre avec une robe-manteau ! Je ne suis pas vraiment fan de ses bottes mais là, je reconnais qu'elles lui conviennent à merveille !

ReplyDeleteThe lady in the red velvet cape (must be the Mayor) is wearing an odd pair of boots. Under this coat a long black pencil skirt or black pants would be better.

ReplyDeleteShe can wear all the jewelry that she has at her disposal but they doesn't make her look any better. As long as she is wearing those old outdated clothes, the jewelry does not even have my attention. We've seen her in two new coats this winter a dark brown/aubergine and a dark green one. Why she continues to wear those old clothes ? With all that money and being a queen now, she could have renewed her whole dressing room. I hope to see her with new and better coats, dresses and two pieces (skirts and jackets) this spring and summer.
