I don’t think this queen has skipped a beat, or an event, holding together the regent couple’s work while Charles is unable to. I’m more impressed every day. (Grace)

You mean “regnant” because “regent” means something else.

    1. The more I see Camilla “dressed up”, the more I see the Angela Kelly trademark.
Has a new in-house dressmaker been appointed?

Her dress looks nice but I don't care for her hat at all. It's too wintery and a little dull. Of all the beautiful hats she has, she could have selected something more elegant (not flashy) for this important church service.

    1. I believe it was pretty cold. Sometimes comfort has to take priority.

Agree. The hat is right for winter. Even if it's still cold in large parts of Europe, spring is in the air. Camilla obviously does a good job. Who would have thought that? The former mistress of the then prince Charles and one of the most hated women in Britain. Now accepted and loved by many of the subjects. She fulfills her role as queen consort and supports Charles and the royal family well.

Dear Queen Camilla, there is so much affection for you now both in the UK and worldwide. You have been an absolute star since the King has been ill. One request. Please wear some of your beautiful hats on formal occasions and keep these older ones for casual occasions.

      Worldwide ???
In many parts of the world they have never heard of Camilla.
Or they know her only from the "gossip" things they may have read 20 odd years ago.
Agree with your point about the hats.

I love the flower brooches pinned on the collar of the cream coat - very spring-like.

  6. This coat looks lovely, not so keen on the hat. Her brooches are very effective, not quite sure if they are sapphire and diamonds? regardless it takes the blandness from this outfit.

      Lovely appearance!
Love the wool-white coat with the nicely placed brooches, as well as the combination with beige accessories.
These kind of hats with the faux- fur make her face really soft.
      And what a wonderfull tradition!

…well, represent England anyway, and doing a smashing job of it. She has the class and breeding to step up, no complaints.

That being said, she must be exhausted.

Really, really lovely!!! The cream coat is beautiful and I love QC's choice of tan accessories because they make the coat stand out. I also love the 2 flower brooches--they are the perfect touch of spring. Camilla looks marvelous here.

What an awful combination. The hat may directly go to the recycling bin. The fabric of the coat looks used. She may wear as many brooches as she can put on her coat they cannot hide her bad choice of clothes. Brown hat, white coat, black gloves, black handbag and beige boots OMG.

I would have put it a little more mildly, but do agree that the wintery brown hat, white coat, black gloves, black handbag and beige boots are a mismatch in my opinion as well.

  13. Queen Camilla's work ethic has to be commended at such a difficult time for the BRF. Love her outfit, very appropriate for a service in a chilly cathedral, the brooches add interest and the hat is a good choice when facing wind and rain.

If you only dress according the weather circumstances every old hat or coat will do. But that is normally not what a queen does. By the way she is brought by a limo at the cathedral, it is not that she has to face the weather like someone who comes with the metro or the bus. When Queen Maxima is dressed down for a visit to a school, the comments are that she is not dressed like a queen should be dressed, that she is not taking into account the royal family of the Netherlands in which she is married, that she is not thinking about her position, etc...
When Queen Camilla wears old and used clothes and hat (a couple of brooches are not making the difference in my eyes) there are comments that she is wearing the most beautiful clothes, the most beautiful hat and the most beautiful accessories that one can find these days. Come on this is really exaggerating.

The buildup to this event stated she would be distributing envelopes. I'm inclined to think the choice of glove color was intentional for that. The tan boots for the transition to spring and low contrast to the coat are nice. Christine

  20. Am puzzled by the choice of black gloves; gloves matching the shoes and hat would have made this a beautiful outfit. -- Jane
