Princess Benedikte of Denmark attended the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Solgaven Nursing Home in Farum. Solgaven is a special housing and day center for blind and partially sighted citizens. Upon arrival, the Princess was welcomed by regional council chair Lars Gaardhøj, president of the Danish Society for the Blind, Ask Løvbjerg, and Solgaven's director Molly Møller.

The celebration consisted, among other things, of singing together and a tour, where the Princess was shown Solgaven's new sensory garden and greeted day guests in Solgaven's various workshops. Solgaven is one of the Danish Association of the Blind's four special nursing homes.

The stones are Chrysopras (in german). The goldsmith is Jan Hesselberg on the island Sylt. I got to know him, when visiting the island and his lovely shop in Rantum/Sylt and bought a necklace. anna e.

Her earrings and the ring on her right hand are quite striking.

As i am quite a fan of Jan Hesselberg-Schmuck, i can tell a little bit.

When Princess Benedicte visited the Island Sylt and the danish community, she visited the Goldschmiede Hesselberg, as he is danish. She placed an order for earclips (not earrings), which he created really beautifully, with a matching ring. The brooch is a gift of mr Hesselberg to the princess. You can see a picture on instagram. As far as i know, there is no online-shop, so you have to come to Sylt!
