On March 23, 2024, the Rose Ball took place under the Presidency of Princess Caroline of Hanover. This 2024 event raised funds for The Princess Grace Foundation. This year, Princess Caroline of Hanover chose the theme "Disco" and afterwards French designer Christian Louboutin created this theme for the Rose Ball, held at the Salle des Etoiles.
Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, Princess Caroline, Charlotte Casiraghi, Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, Princess Alexandra and Ben Sylvester Strautmann took part in the 2024 Bal de la Rose event. The Rose Ball was created by Princess Grace of Monaco in 1954. It is organised every year in March by the Monte-Carlo SBM Group in the Salle des Etoiles of the Sporting Monte-Carlo.

Love Charlene's hair cut.
ReplyDeleteits a lovely wig it suits her well
DeleteI think it is simply a different brushing; I doubt very much nit would be a wig
DeleteAgree @anon 22:40. I do not believe it's a wig. Her hair has grown enough to get this beautiful look. Her jumpsuit looks good too, but the best dressed imo is Alexandra.
DeleteSorry a correction, it should read "it would be a wig"
Delete@ 01:19
DeleteEnvy is a disease.
I think it is not a wig. It is simply another hairstyle. Charlene's hair is not combed behind her ears. It is more combed towards her face and had a little cut to make this hair style possible. I like it. I also like her jumpsuit.
Deletewhite dude wearing Afro wig, you cant do that anymore nowdays
DeleteThe older man with the Afro wig is the designer Christian Louboutin who created the Disco theme for the ball. He is actually partly Egyptian, so not totally white. And there is Gloria Gaynor, too!
Delete*Ines*
I say: yay for the afro wig. Go for it! It´s a costume. You can totally do that nowadays, no matter your ethnicity.
DeletePeople need to stop being offended about everything. If I (as a blonde) freaked out and called cultural appropriation everytime I saw bleached hair, my goodness, I´d be busy. Haha. The craziest thing is that so many people get offended on behalf of someone else (who most likely won´t give a sh...).
Well said Vanessa
DeleteI miss Andrea & Tatiana
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks quite pretty, Hope she had much fun with her darling Albert.
ReplyDeleteHSH Princess Charlene attended the Bal de la Rose? She truly has turned a corner it seems! -Jacqueline
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks so much healthier now! May God Bless this beautiful lady!
DeletePrincess Charlene is looking very beautiful.
DeleteQuite a fabulous array of outfits! I think everyone of the royals look really great, with some going full on theme and others taking a more traditional black tie approach. Beatrice is my favorite, but I’d give a thumbs up to everyone!
ReplyDeleteI agree, everyone looks great! Charlene has my favourite look; she nails the theme, especially with the hair. This hairstyle suits her really well (probably a wig but still).

The family are NOT royal. Only Caroline and Alexandra are royal as Princesses of Hanover
DeleteAnon 10.05, and Caroline and her daughter are not royal, as Germany has abolished the monarchy more than hundred years ago. The title is only part of the name, Ernst August, Prinz von Hannover. Kein Königreich, keine Krone.
DeleteCora
Princess Charlene you are beautiful and so elegant.
ReplyDeleteI like Alexandra's dress the best followed by Beatrice. Charlotte looks like she's wearing her nightie.
ReplyDeleteCharlene and Caroline ok but not inspiring.
Kim
I agree with you about Alexandra and Charlotte's dresses. I don't really like Beatrice's dress and Charlene's pantsuit.

Princess Charlene looks stunning as usual. Missing princess Stephanie.
ReplyDeletePss Caroline's black sparkling gown looks stunning. Pss Charlene looks striking. Charlotte's gown doesn't appeal to me at all.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice is my favorite too but I also think that Caroline looks very elegant.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice sometimes gives me the impression of being a fashion show off who likes to try and draw all attention. But she looks great tonite. Charlotte looks good too but something is different with her eyes. She is not aging well imho.
ReplyDeleteI Love Princess Charlene’s hairstyle!
ReplyDeleteVery soft fringe framing her lovely face. Very flattering!
She seems like such a sweetheart!
Prince Albert looks dashing!
Such a handsome couple!🥰
Merci de poster des photos où l on peut voir une Princesse Charlene souriante.
ReplyDeleteNon elle ne s habille pas qu en noir
Froufrou
I don't like, as often, Charlotte's gown/outfit.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Which is such a shame, I've loved most of what she has worn in recent months.
DeleteT
Princess Charlene the "Belle of the Ball" and I like HRH Princess Alexandra's gown but do not feel the disco vibes, maybe for a more formal event!!! FITZHUGH
ReplyDeleteAs the event seemed to have been 1970's themed, the only one who got it decently right with her outfit is indeed Princesse Charlène. The rest (apart from the gentleman in the huge 70's hairstyle) not so much. Beatrice Casiraghi-Borromeo got stuck in the 1920's instead, Princess Alexandra of Hannover might be placed in the 1960's where Breakfast at Tiffany's comes to my mind (she's wearing a beautiful dress, btw, don't get me wrong), Princess Caroline in something rather timeless and therefore unmemorable, and Charlotte Casiraghi totally forgot what the theme was about in the first place.
ReplyDeletePerfect summary.
DeleteI like Beatrice's dress, Others don't, but it's hard to find an elegant ball gown for a disco theme. Charlotte's dress really looks like a nightgown and it looks flattened in the bust area.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I would be interested in something else. Ball just a week before Easter? I am a Catholic, just like the entire princely family and 40 days before Easter (- Lent) there are simply no balls in a country with a Catholic tradition. There aren't even any weddings in the church. Maybe someone from Monaco could explain it.
Stephanie
Catholic or not. There are no balls any more in my country (region). There are party's, there are clubs, there are places where young people see each other. The week before Easter ? Do you think nowadays (young) people are still thinking at the meaning of this ? Weddings in the church ? There are almost no weddings anymore not in church and not in the town hall (civilian wedding) In my town there were 2 churches. Now there is only one left. They had to close one church because no one came to the mass on Sunday any more. In the end it was just open for funerals. Now for the few funeral ceremonies that still take place in church, the family has to go to the other church.
DeleteEven catholic people prefer a ceremony at the funeral company's premises (incineration).
Dr Hany
DeleteMonaco is still a very Catholic principality and the Catholic Faith still holds tremendous influence and Albeet and Charlene take their Catholic Faith seriously specially Charlene, but this is a charity event and as royals they have to attend it. As for the preceding comment, it is utterly false as even in secular France there are still very strongly Catholic regions where people adhere tomtheor Catholic and Christian Faith including many young people and on Sundays go even in Paris and you will find large churches and Cathedrals full of worshippers. Stop projecting from yourself on others
Charlotte has done something to her face, too much fillers in the cheeks. You would hardly recognize her if it weren't for this event. Too bad, she has inherited the perfect face, but chose to ruin it. And of course she is wearing yet another uninteresting dress by Chanel.
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks absolutely fabulous and chose the perfect outfit. Very nice to see her happy and healthy.
Charlene has changed her face very much over a very long time. Look back to her first outings with Albert to see how she looked when she met him: bright eyes, sweet, wrinkled from sun, imperfect but joyful. I find it tragic that a young vibrant Charlene chose / or maybe felt she must remake her face, and has continued with regular changes since. I always wished she could be accepted and happy just as she was pre Monaco. Nevertheless, in recent months she does finally seem happy and it’s beautiful to see, although the cosmetic interventions continue. (Grace)
DeleteI agree with you Grace. When she was her natural self was the best in my opinion. Also the period just before her wedding, where the adjustments she made to her face were minimal was also okay. I wished she had stopped there.
DeleteBut who are we to complain, she seems happier now so all is well.
T
Jumpsuit Princess Charlene : love it
ReplyDeleteDress Charlotte : awful
Dress Princess Caroline : simple but classy
Princess Alexandra : I don't like the body of the dress
Beatrice : too beige, the dress and herself
Theme : "Disco". Wasn't there any other more inspiring subject ? Is Christian Louboutin the man with the big black wig ? He did the design for the Bal de la Rose on earlier occasions.
Princess Alexandra looks stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love Pss Charlene’s look! Her hair is so feminine and flattering to her features. The jumpsuit is perfect for the event. With her height is perfect!
ReplyDeleteShe really has been knocking it out the park these last few months!
Not keen of Charlotte in Chanel.
Beatrice as always is a vision in Dior.
Alexandra and Caroline also look lovely.
High five to Prince Albert in his red dickie bow! 🙌
Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe combination of Elie Saab and Princess Charlene is always a winner.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, one day, Princess Charlene will become his muse.
Like the dress worn by Princess Alexandra but it doesn’t fit in with the theme of the occasion.
Princess Charlotte and Chanel ….. O.K.
Beatrice Borromeo, always a winner.
Princess Caroline, elegance.
Above all, what a pleasure to see Princess Charlene joining in on more and more of the family events.
I’m sure Prince Albert is happy to see most of his family reunited for this occasion. He seems to be a great “father hen” with his family.
The Bal de la Rose is in desperate need of a revamp. From the princely couple's fashion, to the prince's extended family, the decor, the lighting, the photos. It looks nothing like what you would expect of a glamorous ball held by one of the oldest dynasties of Europe.
ReplyDeleteIn a rapidly changing world where monarchies are becoming rarer and under greater scrutiny, I feel like Monaco is one of the few that could host more regal and glamorous events without backlash from their people. You never see them in a proper formal setting, with gowns, tiaras, white tie tuxedos, etc.
Do you see other royal invitees on their events ? No
DeleteDo they organize state visits ? No
Are they invited as a state in other countries with a monarchy ? No
The last time several royals were invited in Monaco was at the wedding of Prince Albert with Princess Charlene.
@16:30 And yet the Princely family of Monaco have it better than all the European RF's put together. They have more money than they need. Their gorgeous and chateaux are on the Mediterranean. They don't have to worry about the Press or Parlement. The Monegasques adore them. They get invited to EVERY single major event that all the other Royals get invited to.
DeleteWho the #$@ among the European RF's has it so good??
@16:30 The monegasque princely family was received by the norwegian royal family in 2022, as they visited the country for an exhibit about Prince Albert I. Albert and Charlene were also present for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth and the coronation of King Charles. And this is just from the top of my head. I think you need to brush up on you royal watching.
Delete@20:06 Exactly, thank you for your contribution! That is exactly my point of view, out of all the royal families, the Grimaldis have it best. They live in a small, safe country where they are beloved. Unlike other royals, Albert role is not merely ceremonial either.
Which is why I would love for them to bring back a more classical and royal flair to their events, official appearances and portraits. They are one of the few who can actually do it without causing a public outcry.
Charlene my favourit our lady
ReplyDeleteI don’t get Charlotte. She has such a weird style. I have rarely seen her with something that really suits her.
ReplyDeletePrincess Charlene looks wonderful with this hairstyle. She really suits a fringe. As to the dresses, I liked the top of her outfit but the trousers don't work for me--they look like very glamorous pyjamas. Princess Caroline is the winner--supremely elegant. Beatrice and Charlotte are always beautiful but their dresses are unexciting and the one worn by Princess Alexandra looks like she is holding a bit of black card in front of it. Compared to some of the stunning gowns of previous years, it's disappointing.
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks stunning. Love this new hairstyle. Best dressed is Charlene Alexandra and Caroline. Boy Chanel really missed it this time. From Beatrice this gown is really not special. css
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks great ;hair style a little sassy.Chanel oufit looks a bit ;oh what will we do with this top lets try this bottom.I like the gold shoe string dress(Tabby)
ReplyDeleteLove all the looks - beauty and elegance all around. <3
ReplyDeleteOMG, awful dress Charlotte! Drop Chanel and move on..
