King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark visited the Roskilde Cathedral in Roskilde. The King and Queen toured the cathedral together with Thomas Thulstrup, who is the museum director of the Kongernes Samling. Construction of the present cathedral began around 1200. The church is one of the first Gothic church buildings in Scandinavia built with bricks.
Since the 16th century, the cathedral has served as the Danish Royal Family mausoleum, with the latest funeral occurring in 2000. In total, 39 kings and queens have been buried in the cathedral. The Roskilde Cathedral has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. The King and Queen shared photos and a caption concerning their tour at the cathedral on their social media account.
Fredrick still looks like the scrappy Prince, time to upgrade to King style.

This is not relevant, but in my country, Finland, we have just got a president who is in the first time in my life younger than me (he is 55) and I'm very happy for our young and relaxed president 😊.
In defense of "Anon 11:26, to start, clean shaven - or at least a better groomed beard (see King Willem) - properly fitting clothes especially the pants. His pants are NEVER fitting him properly. But, this is just my opinion. If the Queen is happy with his look then that's all that matters. She's the one that has to go home with him.
حذف@annonymous 11:26 the King and queen are not there for an official engagement or supporting one of their patronages. This is a private meeting and they just so happened to share this. They are dressed in warm clothes and I am sure their casual clothes are expensive too!!

ردحذفYeah, that's what many other have said. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's humbling. On a side note, if I ever get to visit Denmark I want to make this one of my first stops. It seems fascinating.

ردحذفFrederik is a young, modern king in a relaxed Danish society. I see nothing wrong with his normal daily dress; in fact I find the lack of stuffiness quite refreshing. He knows very well when (and how) to put on his glad rags when the occasion calls for it.

حذفNot every man likes to wear his pants in the same way. Some like it more tight than others, some more loose, just like women. Some men like to wear their suits more in the Italian style and some prefer the English style. As long as it suits you, it is fine with me.

It is time that people are going to accept that royals are just people like anybody else.
It is strange that it is always the same kings and princes that are attacked for their posture, for their suits or clothes in general. What about a king that is wearing old shapeless suits, whose hands are always in the pockets of his jacket and whose hair is too long in his neck and is growing over his collar ? I hear almost never complaints about how he is looking.
Now they are K& Q one don't see them very often. Maybe it is also time for Fredrik, to remove the beard? css
