Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended a concert given by the Gjermund Larsen Trio at Ris church in Oslo. The concert was part of the Oslo International Church Music Festival 2024. Gjermund Larsen is a Norwegian traditional folk musician (violin) and composer. In 2006, he founded the Gjermund Larsen Trio with Andreas Utnem (pedal organ) and Sondre Meisfjord (double bass).
Oslo International Church Music Festival is held for 10 days each March. The festival's concerts are given in the churches of Norway's capital city, with Oslo Cathedral as the main venue. The festival is a central institution in the development of church music in Norway. The Crown Princess is Patron of the Oslo International Church Music Festival.
