Today, two years have passed since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Royal family together with Ukrainians for a peace prayer at the Royal Chapel. Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended a peace prayer in the Palace Church at the Royal Palace of Stockholm, on the second anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

ReplyDeleteI love Victoria's outfit--perfect for this somber occasion as well as being beautiful. Queen Silvia looks elegant and I love her jacket--great pairing with the plain skirt. Sofia looks nice--I love her jacket. I just wish she had not chosen to wear trousers as, at least to me, it made her outfit take on a more casual look for a very somber occasion in a cathedral. Again, this is my opinion but I am seeing the Queen and Victoria along side Sofia and prefer the fashion choices of Silvia and Victoria for this occasion. I love the traditional Ukrainian clothes the children are wearing.

Queen Silvia's jacket is superb, beautiful I just love it, she looks so elegant.
ReplyDeleteAll the royal ladies are wearing beautiful jackets. I particularly like the outfit of Princess Sofia : beautiful jacket, love her pants and her hair. I also love the white blouse with the pleated sleeves of the lady in the 3rd & 4th picture.

I don't know what is the custom in Swedish Royal Family ? I suppose unless the king becomes very sick or very handicapped, he will continue like most of his colleagues cfr. Norway's king Harald is handicapped and has been ill several times, but he recovers each time. His son, CP Haakon is taking over when necessary as in other countries. In Sweden CP Victoria is doing a big part of all the work and is ready when necessary to take over the crown. She will be a dedicated and good Queen.
