On February 19, Queen Sofía of Spain inaugurated the new dialysis center “Los Llanos III” in the Madrid town of Alcorcon. The center was established by the Fundacion Renal Ínigo Alvarez de Toledo in collaboration with patients to provide treatment to people with kidney disease.
Queen Sofía also attended the presentation of the citizen information platform “Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere”, an initiative of the Renal Foundation. The platform aims to raise awareness, educate and inform about kidney disease.
The “Los Llanos III” dialysis center located in Alcorcón is a sustainable building that is respectful to the environment, and like all those that the Foundation has opened in recent years, it is equipped with the most modern technologies. It has 30 online hemodialysis stations, and is ready to serve up to 160 patients.
What a beautiful jacket Queen Sofia is wearing. Next time when I am shopping clothes for myself and I see a similar jacket, I think I am going to buy it.
