Dutch Queen Maxima, in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA), made a four-day visit to Colombia. The final day in Bogota involved the UNSGSA’s participation at a fintech conference and a roundtable discussion hosted by the Colombia Fintech Association.
Queen Maxima of The Netherlands delivered an opening speech at the conference, and used the opportunity to encourage the deepening of fintech sector involvement in key financial inclusion reforms in Colombia. This became Queen Maxima's second visit to Colombia on behalf of the United Nations, with the previous in 2014.
I like this outfit very well. The stiff fabric is good for this kind of tunic style. I think it looks really good in the side view
ReplyDeleteQM is one of the most serious and consequential international monarchs. I adore her panache and well rounded humanity, happy and uncomplicated in situations from casual, business to glorious gala. DLH
ReplyDeleteThere's no question ....... Queen Max is the best 😁
DeleteSuper outfit.
Very well said. I completely agree.
DeleteShe handles her role as a monarch when she need to be, and her role as a hard working business woman when she needs to be - both with genuine aplomb.

Dear DLH, I cannot improve on your admiring summary! - AnneLise
DeleteBeautiful, dedicated queen…lovely outfit, always smiling.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteI further agreement here. Lovely springlike outfit matched by her wonderful smile.

Oh dear.
ReplyDeleteThe close up photo shows Maximas
a's hair at its worst.
The top is black and grey and the straggly ends are blondish.
She needs a decent hairdresser.
Yes the combination of dark roots and after light blond hair is fashionable; it is her choice, you can see this in fashion magazines.
DeleteAlways smiling, too bad we cannot smile about her messy locks. Not fond of the yellow wrinkly fabric. Suza
ReplyDeleteI like her Spring outfit on the last day of her visit to Colombia. Tomorrow she will be back in the rainy and rather cold Netherlands.
ReplyDeleteLooks very attractive, very smart. Thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteBelle tunique dont la couleur jaune du motif se retrouve dans celle de sa jupe courte ; magnifiques ses escarpins !
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit on Maxima. She looks professional and stylish.
ReplyDeleteHaving had a chance to see the outfit up close through two wonderful video interviews where she talks about her work, my only misgiving with the outfit is the yellow embroidery on the top. I like the idea, but unfortunately from a distance, it looks like egg spatter. I think that there could be a better way accomplish this style detail while still being subtle.

Dear Anon 9:13. and Anon 18:54
DeletePlease don’t talk about egg splatter and scrambled eggs.
It sets off the sirens in my computer.
Then I’ve got the local cops banging on my door to see if all’s O.K.
Your respective cooperation in this technical matter would be greatly appreciated.
@ Anon 9:13
DeleteThe egg spatter like you call it is not an embroidery but hand painted.
Her outfit is shiny and wrinkly, it looks like she dropped some scrambled eggs on her top! And of course, bad hair.
ReplyDeletelol!
DeleteWaar is Zijne Koninklijke Hoogheid Koning William? Ik maak me zorgen om zijn gezondheid! Waarom verschijnt Maxima de laatste tijd zo vaak alleen?
ReplyDeleteWillem- Alwxander bedoelt u zeker?

Oh my--she had been doing so well. QMax is wearing a great skirt but that top--the spilled eggs splotch is awful. I keep trying to see if I would like the top without the spilled eggs but I don't--the color is not a strong match for the skirt. I can deal with the wrinkles--she's been sitting. I wish she'd gone with a ponytail rather than wear her hair down. I think today's effort is C. She can do better, has been doing better, and will do better again.

Not very original, if there is one comment which start with talking about eggs, there must be 4 or 5 who follow. And don't start talking about Queen Maxima's hair, we all know it by now. Princess Anne can do better too. But she won't.

DeleteIf you find comments are boring and repetitive, just use the “click’” on your keyboard and move on.
Problem solved.
@deadeggs. Feeling attacked ? My comment was not addressed to you but to Janet.
Delete@Anon 06:20 You said “feeling attacked”.
DeleteNot at all. No problem for me.
Having read your comment I got the impression you are bored with the blog and its repetitive subjects and comments.
Sorry I didn't notice where you mentioned that your comment was exclusively for @Janet and not open to other bloggers expressing their opinion/comment.
I said the comments were not very original. There is a slightly difference with finding them boring. In fact it is interesting to read how many bloggers are repeating what the first one already said. I would have expected more originality.
DeleteNot my style. But Q Maxima carries it off just fine. css
ReplyDeleteMaxima, strange to wear a shiny outfit, more fit for a late afternoon/evening event, to a financial appearance. Not fond of the material, colour, or of her appearing with a messy head of hair. Smile is most always nice.
