Not her usual type of cause of to support, and wearing flat shoes

Thank you, Angie. I was wondering if her jacket had come from this organization. Letizia is better than anyone at supporting small designers in Spain. By wearing their jacket, it is but one way she brings much needed attention to this cause.

If I wore pants like that when I was in school in the 1970's the kids would make fun and call them "flood pants". So we avoided wearing short pants. Whoever designed these ones thought they were fashionable. I think the length and width of these pants is not flattering. They would look more stylish if they were shorter like culottes worn with boots or longer -below the ankle. I do like the tweed jacket and cute shoes.

I'm not sure what you wore as a child has to do with what Letizia is wearing today. If fashion never evolved, we would all still be wearing that new miracle fabric of the 70s, polyester. Pants come in all lengths and widths right now. I can't say this is my favorite look, but I will take it over the dresses that are too long that a few of the royal ladies favor.

I was just trying to make a point of exactly what you said. That fashion has evolved. I wasn't trying to tie my childhood to Letizia. I was pointing out how attitudes have changed. And as a matter of fact most fast fashion today is made of the miracle fabric-polyester. Have you looked at the labels lately? Even high end designers are using polyester. And some polyester is of very high quality even though it is bad for the planet.

I don't like her trousers nor her shoes. Trousers are too short and shoes do not match.

    1. My thoughts exactly. The shoes are like girls' school shoes and the trousers look ridiculous. The jacket, though is lovely.

If anybody can rock this type of pants without looking somehow funny, then it is Letizia. These pants seem to require flat shoes - and I am happy anyway if royal women would wear flat shoes more often because it is not such a good thing to associate glamour with wearing quite unhealthy shoes. Anyway, for me, the length of the pants plays nicely with these shoes because it allows to display them wholly and they are pretty, those shoes. (GM)

@ GM. If another queen or princess would wear this she would receive nothing but bad comments. It is not because she is queen Letizia that her outfit cannot look wrong.
Me too I like flat shoes but not these ones with an ankle strap and with too short trousers. I think I must have been about 10 years old when I wore such shoes.

    2. My thoughts exactly. Only Letizia can wear these trousers and look very good!

Nice jacket. IMO wide pants should be longer and short pants narrower so this feels all wrong. Flat shoes are fine but not ankle straps.

  8. This is a splendid association. I am glad the Queen is showing her support and highlighting what this group does, very necessary and meaningful. The jacket is beautiful, the design and colors I love. The pants on the other hand I don't feel work in well with the jacket. The shoes though nice to see her wearing low heels I don't feel looks polished.

Nice jacket well-fitting and great color. The pant would look better longer. The flats are like a kid shoe? css

Love the jacket--every elegant--love the shoes too. I have heard in the past several months that QLet has some foot problems and might need to wear lower heels and/or flats. This pair is really cute and very stylish. As for the trousers--not so sure about those with that jacket. The jacket is much more formal than the trousers. I think they would look better paired with a more casual top.

  11. This is a great outfit that is just slightly more “work-at-the-office” and a little less “queenly.” I think all the pieces work really well together. I can’t blame her for not choosing sky-high heels for every outing. The flats are more appropriate here and a little more down-to-earth. Well done, QLeti.

  12. I really like this outfit for this "event"/case that she support for long time, and even if is by a healthy issues or not I loved that she use much more flat shoes than before, the trousers looks neutral giving the spooligh to this beautiful and special jacket.

The sleeves on this jacket is either to long or to short. Don't like the button up in the neckline either, but I like jackets like this especially to jeans. The pants are not good. So this was an golden oppurtinity to actually be very fashionable that unfortunately was squandered.
