On January 30, 2024, Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde held a a New Year's reception for Belgian federal and regional authorities. King Philippe gave his annual speech to the guests during the reception. The reception took place at the Castle of Laeken. Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz of Belgium also attended the reception.

    I like the crisp look of this outfit on Mathilde. I prefer the way she is wearing the blouse vs. the way it is shown on the model.

    I like the blouse but think it might look better untucked as on the model. Viewed side on, as in third and fourth photos, it's not very flattering.

      I actually prefer the way Mathilde wears it vs the model, if not tucked in it would make her look wide and big..even less flattering.

    QMat looks great!!! Very chic. I like the flare of the trouser legs--the design is good here, not just super wide legs. Astrid's outfit is...terribly unfortunate.

    Lovely ensemble for Queen Mathilde. Black and white always a chic mixture.
    Princess Astrid should have worn black accessories with her outfit. The golden shoes and handbag are not a good idea to wear with her dress.

    Très joli chemisier qui conviendrait mieux à la reine sans son ras du cou ; je trouve que la robe d'Astrid style léopard comporte une couleur de trop ; devinez laquelle ?!

    I love this blouse on QM.To my surprise it’s a Natan design.Natan can be hit or miss. This is a hit. I would have preferred a straight skirt rather than high waist trouser,but that personal choice. Bea

    The queen looks fantastic. I like her well tailored pants. Always a please to see princess Astrid and the Archduke.

    The Queen looked chic in this outfit, with a nice clean line which enhanced her figure. The black and white colours worked quite well. Astrid's outfit was a mis matched mess. Nothing more to say about her outfit, just a mess, from top to bottom.

    The Queen looks very stylish and chic. The pants fit well and are the perfect length. She looks very elegant.
