I like the blue classic dress, her hair is terrible as usual (no, I'm not the hair police, but - hair completes the whole outfit. A sloppy hairstyle can spoil the whole look)

Time for her hair to accept the aging process. A short hair cut like Charlene's would look good on her

Agree. Dress is fine; good choice. No excuse for distracting, crazy, straggling hair from a woman of her means. One clip is all that’s needed, which she could do herself.

    3. She doesn't need to cut it. It looks great when pinned up neatly. Love the dress-beautiful colour and lovely fit. I like the coat too

@Anon 18:25, long or short hair has nothing to do with age, it what suits to the face.

thinning hair happens to most over 50s thats why the cut it short

I agree with you completely Stephanie.I often wonder if the Dutch media comment on her often unkempt looking hair.
On the other hand the likes of Letizia, MM,,Mathilde, Mary and Stephanie always have their hair nicely groomen.

    7. Hair HAS to do with age, it gets thinner, grows more slowly particularly around the face, so potentially more difficult to choose a hair style. Yes it needs to suit with the face and meet expectations of the person.

Reminds me of the Princess of Wales' favorite dress that she wore in a bunch of colorways, most notably lilac: https://www.vogue.com/article/kate-middleton-duchess-of-cambridge-emilia-wickstead-gianvito-rossi-anya-hindmarch-celebrity-royal-style

This Iversen dress is very beautiful and I am happy to see it out again. As it is a bit on the short side I think it looks better with dark stockings

Yea she is wearing a coat properly and not over her shoulders. Looking elegant again today. I like the shade of blue. Km

Another treasure from the vaults. This Iversen dress is so clean, beautifully cut and forever in style. The deep blue colour makes it versatile for many different occasions.

Elegant is not the word I would choose with the hair a total mess. She is a Queen, that includes a proper hair dresser to keep the hair in good control. Lovely smile. Would like to see The Princess Royal features on this blog more. She is a hardest working Royal in the UK, numerous articles and photos of each of her engagements. darcy

While the blue is a nice color, her hair does ruin the whole look. Perhaps Mrs. Macron could give her the name of a good wig company because she usually looks tres chic!

Totally agree. I also think Mrs. Macron is usually quite chic, wig or not. She looks great.

    4. I love your sense of humor Lady M.
Actually Mrs Macron's wig is looking a bit too boofy on the Swedish visit.

I prefer Mrs Macron's wig than the straw hair of Princess Anne. I am not of the hair police and I expect a lot of remarks because everyone can spread jokes about Mrs Macron wig, but oh no not about Princess Anne
straw hair, which looks sometimes also as a wig.

  9. I love this dress on Q. Maxima. So pretty and flattering. And look at her hair from a past event, it looks great!! C'mon Q. Maxima buy a set of hot rollers and give it a whirl, you just might surprise yourself!!

    1. Using hot rollers frequently damages the hair, be careful for the surprise.

Love the dress, the coat, the accessories, and the jewlry--the dress is a great fit and color for QMax. I read through the comments on Max's hair. I agree that it really distracts from her overall look and that she has the resources to make a fix. OK--maybe she doesn't want short hair like Charlene and constant use of hair extensions is a disaster for hair. Here are my solutions for her: stop dyeing her hair blonde and slowly return to her natural brown; get a really good trim to deal with the damaged ends; learn to use styling tools that won't fry her hair again since I feel sure she will continue to color her hair to keep away the grays; and learn to do and wear simple up do's like ponytails (which very much flatter her). Do I think any of this will happen? No--its her hair and it seems she's really fine with it.

Commenting on Maxima's hair is so old. We know what her hair is going to look like. Making the same tired old comments hasn't changed anything. Continuing to suggest that she cut her hair short is not the answer. That depends on the type of hair she has and if short hair would suit her face, as was mentioned above. Imagine the squawking at her first tiara event if she had short hair. If you hate her hair now, you will be crying when she doesn't have a beautiful up-do when wearing a tiara. Do try to show some grace and accept the fact that her hair has thinned due to age, hormones, illness, or something else we know nothing about. None of us could live up to this much scrutiny.
