On the afternoon of January 24, Dutch Queen Maxima visited the Almere Haven district located in the municipality of Almere. The Queen made the visit to meet with the residents of the district in connection with the initiatives aiming to enhance the communication between neighbors. The Queen received information about how residents deal with the challenges in terms of quality of life, equality of opportunity and loneliness.
Almere Haven is the oldest district of Almere and has approximately 25,000 inhabitants. The first homes in Almere Haven were completed in 1976 and a large number of the first residents still live in the district.

This is a nice feminine but still professional look for Maxima. I do appreciate the way she wholeheartedly engages during her visits to various groups. But, please, before she sets out, take one minute to gather frazzled hair in a pretty hair clip. Nothing elaborate is needed—but something is needed.
ReplyDeleteI agree! IMO Max always dresses beautifully but no matter what she looks like she was running out the door because she was late and didn't have time for the hair! Put in a clip or a pony tail, PLEASE! :)

Hope they put the kettle on and gave her a cup of tea.

Why being so sarcastic ? The people who live in that part of Almere are not rich you know, quite the opposite.

DeleteIn the Netherlands it is not the custom to offer a bouquet of flowers each time Queen Maxima comes to visit. A simple bunch of flowers from the garden during Winter ? With the snow and temperatures between - 8 and - 6 at night last week, I think there are not much flowers in the garden anymore. Besides do these houses have gardens, I cannot see it on the pictures. The only thing I can see is the dam were the grass grows and the stairs to arrive on the street. In the Netherlands the houses that are build near the water are lying lower than the water of the stream or the river.

DeleteMagnifique manteau dont j'adore la couleur ; même si sa robe est élégante, je n'arrive pas à dire qu'elle convienne bien à Maxima ; en effet, la jupe plus près du corps la flatterait davantage. Je ne vois pas assez bien les bottes mais il me semble que dans un cuir plus souple, elles seraient parfaites !
ReplyDeleteChaque hiver la reine Maxima sort cette robe et ces bottes au moins 1 fois. Je pense qu'elle doit être très comfortable. De même pour les bottes encore plus anciennes que la robe. Elle est bien habillée pour passer une après-midi avec les habitants de Almere Haven dans le cadre de projets sociaux.

ReplyDeleteThe camel color is not a good color for her and her hair continues to look unstyled and unhealthy. Not a good look for a queen.
