On the evening of December 6, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima received representatives of international organizations based in the Netherlands at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam during a dinner. International organizations, also called intergovernmental organizations, are organizations established by treaty between at least two countries.

The European Medicines Agency, The International Court of Justice, The International Criminal Court, The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and The European Investment Bank are located in the Netherlands.

    Gorgeous dress, sublime colour, very well fitted, with just the right amount of sparkle and interesting features. It suits Maxima and the occasion very well. As usual her hair and make up on these grand occasions never disappoint.

    One small correction for Helen's attention: the European Investment Bank (EIB) is not located in the Netherlands but in Luxembourg (I know because I live in Luxembourg :-) ) . What is meant here is only the local representation office of EIB in the NL, one of tens of such offices scattered around the globe. Irrelevant quibble in the context of this blog, I know, but my perfectionist brain could not let it pass. :-o
