On November 30, Queen Camilla, who is Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles, attended the regiment’s biennial awards dinner at the Guildhall in London, as the guest of honor. At the dinner, the Queen was accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. The Rifles is an infantry regiment of the British Army. Formed in 2007, it consists of four Regular battalions and three Reserve battalions.

      12:23, I love those 100-year-old emerald and pearl necklaces, though they aren't showing at their best in that picture. Seeing the Duchess is always a pleasure for jewellery watchers.

    I like this velvet dress better than the other one she wore lately, but the cut is the same as all her dresses and then those big shoulder pads again. It is time she is looking for a new designer who uses thinner shoulder pads or no shoulder pads at all.

    The Duchess of Gloucester has a quiet elegance that I find appealing. I enjoy seeing her often wearing the Gloucester family jewelry.

    Nothing exciting from Camilla, though the blue is very pretty and festive. But the Duchess of Gloucester... my, I would love to have tea with that woman at some point. She always looks so elegant and engaged. And her outfit here, while maybe not the most fashionable as such, has so much character. Love it!

    The Duchess of Gloucester looks fabulous, love her use of royal jewels, stunning. From what I can see the Queen looks quite nice.

    QC is looking great here--the blue gown is very pretty. The Duchess of Gloucester looks marvelous and I love her outfit and the emeralds--her shawl is beautiful.Love seeing the Gloucesters more--they are a lovely couple and are so supportive of the monarchy but rarely get attention for the good works they do.

      Entirely agree on all points, Janet. The Gloucesters, the Kents (though I think both the Duke and Princess Alexandra are too frail to do much in the way of public functions) as well as Princess Anne and the Edinburghs are the quiet and solid support for the main players.
