On November 20, 2023, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie visited Wanteraktioun in Findel, which provides accommodation opportunity for homeless people in the winter. The shelter that is set up every year for the Wanteraktioun is located at Findel Airport. The Wanteraktioun is a humanitarian action whose aim is to prevent homeless people from falling victim to hypothermia during periods of extreme cold.

  1. Ce modèle en tricot torsadé est très tendance actuellement ; la couleur vert sapin lui va à merveille mais portée sur un haut blanc, cela flatterait Stéphanie pour contrebalancer avec le pantalon noir !

  2. This was a appropriate outfit to wear by the Princess. I do prefer the color combination wore as is by the model. I feel the white shirt is better offsetting the dark green vest. Her black pants appear to fit well. Regardless she looks lovely.

    2. Agree about everything, incl the white blouse

  3. I really think she’s lovely and that’s the most important. The jumper is ok seen on the model, but it really doesn’t suit her bodytype. It makes her look frumpy and square.

    1. Agreed. HGD Stephanie is a good looking woman and seems to be a lovely person but some of her clothes choices do her no favours at all.

    2. I agree! It’s a strange thing to say on a fashion site but I like Stephanie because she’s not particularly interested in her clothes. There’s not a vain, look at meee thing about her which to me is very endearing. Maybe because of her position she should spiff herself up more but her personality and smile outshine any outfit.

    3. I agree. A simple sweater would have been much better for her. A cable knit vest is not a good idea for her.

  4. Omg. Could it be worse? No. I'm speechless. Both look beyond frumpy. Frieda

    1. Hi Frieda, In this case the context is the couple visiting a winter homeless shelter and I don’t expect they thought it relevant or tasteful to really dress up. Remember this is an open blog that may be read by anyone including the people you’re talking about so let’s be gracious and kind with comments. (Grace)

    2. Wearing simple clothes most have been a conscious choice for this visit,

    3. Agree with you @Grace 01:35
As their visit is not for a grand gala with tiaras or a concert with a philharmonic orchestra I think they have not dressed “frumpy” but rather with respect to the volunteers and homeless people who are associated with this shelter.
What a shame that even in this period of goodwill some bloggers can’t be a bit gracious and kind with their comments.

    5. The HGD might be "frumpy" fashion wise, but they blend in perfectly well with their surroundings. No one is well dressed in that photo, and in fact that seems to always be the case with the citizens of the Grand Duchy. It's not London, nor is it Monte Carlo or Madrid. And the citizens seem perfectly content with the frumpy but classy, noble and dignified Grand Ducal family.

Good for them. I rather envy them.

  6. Their lack of style is a bit baffling. I understand (and wholeheartedly agree with) the idea of not being a slave to fashion and trends. But there’s a long way between that and wearing the kind of clothes they do. It truly baffles me, because his family has a good standard of quality and stylish traditions.

The jumper itself is good but I think it will look better if she had worn it with a shirt or a polo neck. It needs something sticking up from it to distinguish it as a vest. Sleeves only is not enough.

  8. I really dislike this sweater vest. Very frumpy. But Stephanie looks happy and engaged.

  9. The vest is too tight and should have been worn with a white blouse. And why doesn't she wear some season appropriate ankle boots with moderate block heels.
Stephanie seems to be a very kind and likeable woman, but she is unable to put together a simple, professional look.

  11. Good on you Stephanie for wearing an outfit suitable for the occasion. Some would say it is too plain or boring, or whatever. I believe she is doing due diligence in her choices. Rather than focus on the clothing, it forces us to see Stephanie and her husband as they are, caring, intelligent, wonderful people reaching out to help others. Edwina.
