New official portraits of Princess Kako were released on her 29th birthday

Princess Kako turned 29 today. On the occasion of the birthday, the Imperial Household Agency released new photos of Princess Kako. The photos were taken on December 2 at the Akasaka Estate in Tokyo. Princess Kako has engaged in many official duties in the last year and wishes for a society in which everyone can live with peace and have a variety of lifestyle options. The Princess visited the Emperor and Empress for birthday greetings.

    1. When she marries, she will have to relinquish her title and leave the family like her sister did, unless she marries a member of her family such as a cousin. I don't think they are in any hurry at all.

  2. Splendid pictures of Princess Kako in traditional kimono. Love the soft blue silk and delicate gold patterns. Akasaka estate is a splendour. Hope Princess Kako had a birthday full of joy. She is a precious asset for the Imperial Family, and her smile is uplifting.

  4. Such a lovely girl. She looks also very friendly, I believe she really is. That kimono is beautiful and her hair looks good too. It was a very wise decision to take these pictures in the garden. The last picture is just gorgeous, she looks so happy. Red suits her.
