Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attended the 10th edition of Luxembourg Film Awards ceremony at the Grand Theatre of Luxembourg. This year, 40 productions were the nominees for the 12 awards, including an “XR” award for virtual reality films.
Vicky Krieps took home the 2023 award for 'Best actress', while Marc Limpach won 'Best actor'. 'Kommunion', directed by Jacques Molitor, was named 'Best feature or animation film'. The Luxembourg Film Awards was established to honour the best in Luxembourg's cinema.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attended the opening of Luxembourg Art Week 2023 in Kirchberg. Luxembourg Art Week is the first international contemporary art fair in Luxembourg. The 9th edition of Luxembourg Art Week took place from 10 to 12 November, on the Glacis, a public square in Kirchberg.
The trousers are viscose (a very cheap fabric to produce) and priced at over EUR1200 … the pink on the material is sequins. This design looks to me a way over priced sequinned beach pant, but I guess comfy to wear? The half trench coat is EUR620 and I think would be more successful not cut off at the belly button! Clothes aside, Maria Teresa looks joyful and open to others as per normal! - AnneLise

Thank you Lady of the Manor (terrific name by the way). Happy day to you! AnneLise
ReplyDeleteI can’t understand the Grand Duchess’ choice of outfit. Sorry not fan of the pink pj and the jacket.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteGD Maria Teresa looks good in her black ensemble as is Grand Duc Henri in his tux. MT's lipstick however is a bit too red.
ReplyDeleteThe pants by Dries Van Noten are lovely but not to wear on this occasion. One of the legs seems longer than the other or maybe it is because she is not standing right up. The cropped trench jacket is not beautiful on these pants and not a good idea for the GD. She has similar jackets with the same big collar which does not do her any favor.
The black outfit of the Grand Duchess is elegant.
ReplyDeleteBut the second outfit - beige-pink is a fashion disaster - in my opinion. The jacket shortens and widens her already short figure, but the pants bring down the whole outfit. I think this scary pattern can only be used on pyjamas.
Stephanie
Totally agree that the "jacket shortens and widens her already short figure". This style really hopeless for her
DeleteScary pattern is a great description of the pyjama trousers. The beige jacket does her no favours being too boxy and too short. However, the black outfit worn at the Awards ceremony is lovely and the Grand Duchess looks great.

I agree, except for one thing... There is no such thing as a lipstick that is to red!
DeleteOh yes there is. It can transform a face or a smile into ......
DeleteI won't say it.
I love her style, especially the fun trousers which were a spot on choice for an art gallery visit. The jacket and the trousers are a great combination colourwise as well. I think she shows both a sense of humour and mature self-confidence in her sartorial choices. She seems to be comfortable in her body, which I like. It's quite ok to be short (I am too), and being short doesn't mean that you can't wear wide and colourful clothes as well.

I also don't like this half trench (as such, on nobody) , but I am sure that if she wore a longer jacket, the Height Police would be immediately on the spot, stating that she is too short for that :-))). But look, height is a given, she probably does not want to let it be her main guidance in what she likes and wears and on the other hand, this kind of broad collar frames her pretty face with the short hair so well. In truth, nothing will make her substantially longer or shorter. So she just has fun. (GM)
ReplyDeleteBeing short, waisted and petite, GDMT is at a disadvantage when it comes to clothing style choices. Kudos to her for losing a lot of weight and keeping it off. I actually think the pink and beige outfit is cute on her. It's youthful and fun, but not too young. Great job to match the jacket with the pants, both color wise and style wise. S.M.
ReplyDeleteThe black ensemble looks superb, beautiful outfit. The second outfit, I don't like at all. The pants look like PJ"s and the jacket does not suit her cut off at the waist.
ReplyDeleteThe Grand Duchess’s evening ensemble fits in well with the symphony of black in the group.
ReplyDeleteHowever I think the pink? pants and gabardine jacket are part of her contribution to Luxembourg’s international contemporary art fair.
Her ensemble is a bit too art-y for me to understand.
So rather than pick it to pieces, I’ll put the kettle on and move on to something a little less confusing and less art-y.
Next please.
The first outfit all black looked very nice, a little sparkle, she had a great smile and haircut. The 2nd outfit she should have left in the closet. Maybe it is only me, but this pant and whatever cut jacket looks horrible. css
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to say this doesn't look good on me and choose something else.
ReplyDeleteLove the black evening ensemble--very pretty and very flattering. Her make up and hair are great. Then there is the daytime outfit. All I can say is: No, absolutely in every single way, no.
ReplyDeleteJanet
I don't like both outfits on the the Grand Duchess. The black would have been okay if only one of the pieces was sparkly - either the jacket or the the blouse, but not both. The last outfit, however, has no saving grace.

Re : photo N°8.
ReplyDeleteThe man wearing jeans and a pullover, should be reminded that you never talk to a lady with your hands in your pocket. Especially if the lady happens to be a Grand Duchess.😀
Refreshing. It's always a joy to see MT these days. Love when a royal lady is not afraid to be a copy of all the others. MT has been so happy and joyful the last few years. So good to see. And she looks fab.
