On November 13, 2023, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended the Gala Concert organized by the Royal Band of the Belgian Guides on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of King Philippe’s accession to the throne. The event took place at the Centre for Fine Arts - Bozar in Brussels in aid of the Social Works of Defense.
The Royal Band of the Belgian Guides is the premier musical component of the Belgian Army. Every year, the association The Friends of the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides organizes a gala concert at Bozar, usually for King's day.

Gorgeous black dress and her hair is perfect with this dress and her great earrings complete the look. I would normally say no to a large bib, bit this looks great.
ReplyDeleteThe sparkle is in the right place but in the wrong form. It looks like a napkin tucked into the collar at the dinner table. Mathilde looks lovely in full length black.

The Queen looks splendid in this gown. Not too much, not too little. Her hairstyle is lovely. Only minor quibble, the neckline item is a bit odd, but it works somehow. Edwina

ReplyDeleteI just read an article in my newspaper that Queen Mathilde is praised in several fIoreign newspapers for her dress choice this evening.
ReplyDeleteMe too I think she made a good choice by wearing the Armani dress which has the right amount of sparkle.
She looks absolutely stunning. Love the neckline with the bow and just enough sparkle. Great dress for QM. Love her hair too, very elegant.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice dress but Mathilde has so many nicer dresses. I'm intrigued by the girl in the blue dress that meets them. In the second picture she turns around like a true supermodel. She looks great fantastic. Damsel Dragonfly

DeleteShe is the flower girl. Probably a daughter of a military men known by the king or, of someone belonging to the organization of the concert. That is usually the way it is done.

Gorgeous, elegant, and chic! OK--I'm not totally buying the bow but the sequined embellishment is a needed touch. QM's hair and makeup are perfect.
