  1. Lovely looking dress today. Maybe without boots it would be a more elegant look. css

    1. It’s nicer to break that classic elegance sometimes. That would be better for PoW as well. Too elegant can be old fashioned.

  2. Not sure about beige, beige and brown. Though its simple and smart dress. Km

The two beige clash, at least on my screen. Her grey cape would have been a better match.

  3. Like the coat and like the dress but cannot see why you would not wear a coat long enough to cover the dress underneath. It's not that difficult. Good hair too. A successful look for Queen Maxima

  5. I like this dress, the sleeves are interesting. The skirt has plenty of movement, lovely!

  6. Brown can be difficult color to carry off but on Maxima this dress looks very lovely. Also her hair styled like this...well done.

  8. Le manteau lui convient parfaitement dans cette couleur beige mais pas pour aller sur cette robe à larges plis ; les bottes à talons plus fins dans un cuir plus souple auraient donné un meilleur look !

  9. Well that is Maxima again like we know her. Probably in a hurry, dress longer than the coat so what, knot of the belt not very well done, an old pair of boots and off she goes.

  10. Typical day: No hair dresser to fix her messy hair, wears too much of the tan, brown colors, its a mess looking at her, plus the coat is shorter than her dress. Really? She is the Queen of a country and this is the best she can do? So surprised more people just laugh it off, or say, 'oh thats Max'. If the princess of wales, Catherine looked like this, she'd be torn to shreds on this blog. Sally

    1. The Princess of Wales will never look like this because she know she would "be torn to shreds on this blog", just like Queen Maxima can take the risk to go out in the clothes that are hanging in the nearest closet. In the Netherlands people know that Queen Maxima will not do that when she is abroad or when she has to host people in Huis ten Bosch. On the group photo the other people are dressed in their normal working outfit. So to me she is normally dressed to discuss financial issues during a meeting at the Ministry of Finances of the Netherlands. She was not there to participate in a ceremonial event.

  11. These ladies cannot own every length of coat, in every color needed, so they don't get put down on a fashion blog. I would never suggest owning coats as long as Sophie's just to be sure your dress is always covered. The entire look is not great by any stretch of the imagination, but she does wear the dress better than the model and her hair looks nice. The boots are unattractive. She has much nicer ones.

  12. The coat is nice, the dress looks great, the earrings are fun the same for the boots. She looks perfect for a working moment.
