On November 22, 2023, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Louis Ducruet, Marie Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb attended the official inauguration of the restaurant Cafe de Paris Monte-Carlo. The opening was attended by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer's CEO, Stephane Valeri, and Minister Pierre Dartout.

DeleteParmi les Château Haut-Brion, un blanc sec pour l'entrée et un rouge pour le plat principal ainsi que pour le sucré pourraient être proposés ; cela en fonction des goûts de chacun et bien-sûr du porte-monnaie ! Quant à moi pour le dessert, un verre de Sauternes très frais serait parfait surtout avec le chocolat s'il est noir !

Delete@Cate Why does it matter so much? I really don't understand. Black is such a common and staple color in so many women's wardrobes. It can be dressed up or down, can be read chic and sophisticated, elegant and formal, everyday or edgy. It is not just for mourning. Because it is considered a neutral the way denim is, it can be paired with any color. For those of you obsessed with that "pop of color", you couldn't ask for more. It looks equally good with white and yellow metals. There is a reason we all should have an LBD in our wardrobe. We will always have something to wear at a moments notice by mixing in the right shoes and accessories. I see black as a champion and many other women do as well -- so much so that they only wear black. I really wonder why Charlene wearing black consumes so much of your time.

I think she looks very sophisticated. at least you did not complain because she did not have a Hollywood smile although she and Albert look very happy. she just cannot win in your estimation can she?
DeleteTake a close look readers: everyone in the photo is wearing some type of black. It is winter time. So get off Charlene's back. She is dressed to absolute perfection. Perhaps the critics would prefer she wear colorful printed "house dresses" and frumpy boots, like you know who!! Seriously, why praise others despite their obvious lack of style and at the same time, criticize a beautiful lady for her more neutral and black colors. I will take black any and every day over florals with zippers up the front. There, I just had to say it!

You would have seen how many black and dark colours clothes are on trend now and showcased around in so many shops.
Pity, you could have tried to update your mindset and wardrobe too.
Unfortunately, I still see you lingering on here whining and complainiing about beautiful ladies and their exquisite sartorial choices.
Come on, do something for yourself instead!

In France many ladies wear black especially during Winter time. If I had blond hair like Princess Charlène, I would also wear a black coat. If you have dark(er) hair, you can wear black with a lighter scarf and boots i.e.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who wonders; They are at an opening for a restaurant and this demands both Charlene, the husband and his niece? I guess I just don't get it when others make fun of royals stating, 'so and so would attend anything, including a restaurant opening where they get free food" It all seems rather goofy for some reason. An opening of a musical, opera, symphony, ballet, for any sort of fundraising efforts/agencies, but for a restaurant? I find it sadly funny. JJ
