  2. Très élégant ce style de manteau porté sur la combinaison d'un haut/pantalon noir ; j'adore voir sa couleur de cheveux blond cendré avec ses petites créoles !

D'accord. The princess looks stunning in her outfit. I love the colors and see no reason for her to wear bright splashy over the top outfits just because other royals do so. Some of us reading this blog actually prefer neutrals, beige, camel, ivory and noir. I would happily wear any of her outfits, especially this polished look. J'adore this simple , well-coiffed hair style.

  4. I think she looks well and very stylish, right down to the dark nail polish. Why does he always look so awkward kissing his wife? On another site , so uncomfortable to watch, just like their wedding day he shows her no warms.

    1. Maybe he is a reserved person by nature? Not everyone is comfortable with PDA and I am one of them. And the comment about their wedding day is not true.

    2. First since he's not kissing his wife here maybe that was an irrelevant comment. Second is it really relevant to be so snarky about others? Why not just be nice...

  5. Wow, she looks radiant and happy, very engaging. Love the coat, of good quality, lovely design and cut.

  6. This is the best Charlène has looked recently - hair and makeup are fantastic like that! Fashion-wise there isn't much to comment on, but it looks cozy and comfortable.

  7. How lovely for her to be there. It was a real nail biter of a game too. The second last photo where the polite interest has been replaced by sheer joy is brilliant.

  8. She looks magnificent in this coat, I love her sombre style and dark colours anyway, it fits her new blonde colour so well. I don't like comparisons, make a rare exception: the young Jean Seberg ... it is mainly because of the hairstyle, but the general simplicity as well. (GM)

  9. @administrator, is it possible that comments here only are allowed in English? It is very annoying to see comments that are in French or German. They can easily translate this in google. No, it should not be translated by the readers themself because this is the world wide web and this site is in English. Thank you.

    2. The translations by google are very bad. They are plenty of mistakes and completely wrong very often. Sometimes one cannot really understand the meaning of a comment when you do a translation in your own language.
On the other hand I think it is very rude of you that you find another language annoying. In Europe nowadays most young and even older people are capable of writing and speaking English. Maybe you could try to learn at least some French. Consider it as a useful hobby.
English is not my mother tongue either, but I think I must not be afraid to write in you language. I make mistakes yes, but for me it is a good exercise to write now and then in English. Since I am retired I do not have the opportunity to speak or write English very often.

    3. I am an English speaker but enjoy comments in French, (Merci, Archard62 😀) which I can read and German where I can manage to get the general idea. For Spanish, Dutch or anything else I fear I resort to Googletranslate, bad though it is. I am generally very impressed by the great English written by those who tell us they are not native speakers.

    4. As an American, I find the range of languages from other readers just lovely. And it’s a good chance to use my high school level French to translate!!!

I am American, however, I am offended by the writer who believes everyone should write their posts in English. This blog is about European royals, for the most part. English is not their first language. Therefore, I am not surprised to find French, Spanish and other languages used in postings. I'm studying French and have no problem in seeking out translations, if need be. It broadens our culture to read and hear of differing perspectives on language, as well as fashion and style. I am studying Francophonie countries and just wrote a paper on Monaco. Last thing I want to do, is to go to France next year and come off as "some snooty American" who expects everyone to speak my language. It's about respect.

    7. Oh no...please let our friends who don't write in English continue in whichever language they are most comfortable! I can read French and I am learning Spanish and Italian. I love learning new languages and I understand that not everyone does, but with the abundance of translation services available online, it shouldn't be a real problem.
