I think she is already grand , I mean she has exquisite beauty and manners and a calm approach to her duties.
What a marvellous Queen she will make one day!
What I appreciate most is her determination, modesty and perfect demenour even on such a demanding day for her and all the RF.
      Hugs for you.

A proud moment, Leonor taking her place in Spanish history.
white suit is perfect for this occasion. Letizia and Sofia look great, kitten heels would have been great for Sofia, perfect for a young lady.

Viva Leonor, Princessa de Austrias! Y Viva España!

  7. The infanta's dress is too short for her length. She should also wear a little heel. The dress looks better on the model. Leonor's white pant suit is lovely.

    1. Several comments refer to short heels for Sofia, it seems obvious indeed. Sofia is however very tall, and I wonder how she feels about her height - her posture is not always so good. Maybe she does not want to appear taller. Short heels would however not make a real difference. Today was another concrete step towards a different status between the girls. They all looked lovely, it must have been very emotional.

      Delete
    2. We also have to remember that Sofia is really young. She carries herself really well and seems lovely and engaged whenever she is in the public eye. Definitely not easy for a young girl. I don't think it's an issue for her to be tall since she comes from a family whose members are tall in general, but it can't be easy to put up with being in the public eye. Who of us doesn't slouch sometimes, and we can't expect a teenager to keep everything in control all the time./Grace

@Mary & Grace. A little heel does make a difference. It influences the way you walk. It could help her posture. The fact that her dresses are almost always too short does not help her height. She looks even taller in a short dress. It is not her age or being in the public eye. Her mother who is known as a perfectionist could help her choosing her dresses, which she probably does. Sorry but I always have the impression that they try to keep Sofia younger than she really is. When I was 16 years old, I wore kitten heels too (it was fashionable in the 60-tees). Not to go to college of course or on a average school day, but when I was invited on a party or when I went out with my parents to the theatre i.e.

People have different feet and backs, so we can't know what heels would do to her, and we can't know what Sofia thinks of heels, either. Personally I find kitten heels extremely uncomfortable and they make my lower back hurt, which slightly higher heels don't. Heels are not for everybody and there are people who can't walk with heels at all. It's great that Sofia doesn't feel obliged to wear heels if she doesn't want to! She looks like a teenage girl who makes her own fashion choices and that's just fine./Grace

    5. Anonymous1/11/23 16:54

You must know her personally that you know she does not feel obliged to wear heels if she does not want to. How do you know she makes he own fashion choices ?
The kitten heels were only an example. Besides flat shoes like ballerina's are medically considered as very bad for the back and the feet in general. But since you know her so good I won't say anything anymore.

I don't think I've claimed I know Sofia. I've only said what I think it looks like to me. To me it looks like she makes her own fashion choices, and to me it looks like she doesn't feel obliged to wear heels, because she doesn't wear them. If she did, she'd wear heels. That's how I see it. People are different, and so are shoes. I'm sure she has many different kinds of shoes. As a parent to teenagers I find it sad people criticize a teenager's choice of clothes./Grace

  23. Leonor, with her intelligence, broad education, already demonstrated oratorial ability, multilingual skills, dedication to her country and royal duties and beauty will make a popular and regal Queen one day and bring the Spanish royalty to new heights of respect (as her father is doing). But I hope her reign
is a very long time from now. Her father should have a long life ahead of him and has restored respect to the Spanish monarchy after the damage from his father. He's great!

Queen Letizia’s blue 40s style dress is gorgeous. The Princess of the Asturias is beautiful. Infanta Sofia’s outfit looks good but, as said elsewhere, the really flat shoes are not flattering. It would also be good to see her with her hair back from her face sometimes. Princess Leonor looks great when the curtai;of hair is tied back.

      No, I don't think so, @ Anonymous.
At some point of the ceremony, you can see P Leonor slightly hugging her mother so as to to cheer her up somehow.
Beyond all the royal duties and rules, Q Letizia Is just a mother trying hard to hold back her tears.
She looks kinda of severe but I am sure she was fighting with herself in order not to get emotional.

Leonor looks wonderful in her white pantsuit. It looks like the outfits of the other females were coordinated to let Leonor be the center of attention. The blue overtones of the dresses all let Leonor’s best feature, her eyes, shine. They neither clash with, nor dominate. Very clever. I dislike the thingies on Letizia’s shoulders. The dress on the model looks better. Sofia’s dress was appropriately juvenile.
