Sweden celebrates the 50th anniversary of King Carl XVI Gustaf's reign. The City of Stockholm's concert on Norrbro organized in honour of the King was attended by members of the Royal Family, including the King and Queen, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel, Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill.
Some of Sweden's most popular artists sang Swedish hit songs created during The King's 50 years on the throne. The artists were accompanied by the Johan Landqvist Orchestra. The compère was Zinat Pirzadeh.

Delete14:39 I believe those family photos were taken in the summer and just released this month for the Jubilee. I haven't seen anything indicating that Madeleine's and Chris's kids are attending the Jubilee celebrations.

Victoria: dress is ok, though better without the neckscarf-thing she added. The electric blue shoes and bag are borderline too much for me, and the gloves are superfluous. I´m glad she didn´t put them on, that would have looked ridiculous.
Estelle´s white coat is very cute and elegant, Silvia´s yellow suit is very nice.
I absolutely agree with you. Sofia has nailed her outfits throughout these last few days, as has Madeleine. The children look absolutely wonderful.

P Madeleine: She is a beautiful woman. I don't always agree with her 'sugary romantic' dress style. This is a Self-Portrait signature style, you see them everywhere. I once wore a black one myself - to a funeral.
P Sofia: Definitely an improvement compared to yesterday. Tailored pieces look good on her frame. The length is too long for her, though. On the model, maybe 1,8m, it looks right. Sofia is around 1.6m. And always those ugly Stinaa J orthopedic pumps.

Don't have a problem with Sofias dres slenght. Classic midi. Madeleine on the other hand U would prefer a few incher shorter.
DeleteI too think Sofia's outifit looks terrific but the pencil skirt like dress would have looked even better at knee length. I aslo don't like her choice of pumps. She may have problems with her feet. Or is she promoting the brand?

Absolutely love Victoria's royal blue pumps but paired with this outfit they look kinda of overkill imo.
I think that the blue colour is another nod to the Swedish flag.

ReplyDeleteSolid outfits all around, though non of them will go on my "best of the year" list. Starting with the queen, the yellow is on point with the occasion, it's just not Silvia's colour. But she wears pillbox hats like no other and the overall ensemble is cute. Victoria might be my personal winner. Yes, it's another floral midi gown, but the strong colour suits her well and kudos for bringing even more colourful accessories. Madeleine wears the blazer/dress combo that I unfortunately don't like on any of its wearers so far, and alas, she is no exception. I find the embroidery horribly dated and the pastel isn't helping in making her anything but "mother of the bride". Sofia is, unfortunately, sharing that vibe. The dress itself looks good and she can wear pastel pink just fine, but the coat is odd. Shapeless and a little too short. Together with the nude pumps, the whole look is aging her a decade or so. Now, again, none of them look terrible, they're all appropriate looks for the jubilee, but nothing excites me either.

DeleteAt the event where she wore the bright pink ruffly floor length gown, she had on those huge clunky heeled shoes. Thought that was terribly out of place, but then maybe she had to, to deal with the length of the gown.

Love Princess Madeleine's look the best - the soft blue color and flattering silhouette her midi dress creates. Very sophisticated and elegant look. Also love her hairstyle and earrings. Perfection.
