On September 19, 2023, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the opening of the 2023-2024 season of the Royal Theatre, the theatre's 27th season. The Teatro Real opened the 2023/2024 season with "Medea" by Luigi Cherubini. The opera Medea is one of the masterpieces of the French opera created in the 18th century.
"Medea" is known for the interpretations of artist Maria Callas, to whom this production is dedicated on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of her birth. At the end of the performance, the King and Queen met with directors, artistic team and cast.

حذفQueen Letizia's hair and make-up looks wonderful. The structure of the dress is lovely, but...I am very, very, very confused by the bow detail. Did she try some sort of avant-garde thing and change her version of the dress to be just two crumpled pieces of fabric instead of bows? I couldn't even tell what they were until I saw the photo of the model.

This dress is a rewear from 2021. The bows were quite perky on that earlier occasion. My guess is that the bows have gone a bit limp from cleaning and storage.

ردحذفQL looks gorgeous! Love her hairstyle. I really love this dress but those bows need to go because they don't stay straight so look kinda wonky. So glad QL added the belt to draw attention away from those bow. She really stunning here.
