Norwegian King and Queen visited Mjøndalen area in Drammen municipality that was hit by the floods

On August 11, King Harald and Queen Sonja visited Mjøndalen area in Drammen that was hit by the floods. There, the King and Queen met with local authorities, shopkeepers, emergency services personnel and affected locals. The Storm Hans caused cancelled ferries, delayed flights, flooded streets and injured people. Parts of eastern and central Norway are still on red alert as the country battles widespread flooding and landslides.

    Very courageous of King Harald to visit the areas affected by the floods. Queen Sonia is of great support to him with all his health problems he encountered lately. I like them dressed in their jeans and rain jackets like the habitants of the town they are visiting. Rose

    Always dressed in relaxed way but they are class and elegant. Friendly, close to the people, the Norwegians are lucky to have such royals.
