On July 11, 2023, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender, accompanied by Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the City of Science and the Luxembourg Learning Centre.

ReplyDeleteAgree with you. Love she is wearing what she likes. Compared to the really very smart and nice wife of our german Federal President, MT at least doesn´t look so boring. She has courage and stands by her fashion style. Bravo!

ReplyDeleteEh bien, je ne pense pas que ce soit difficile pour Mme Büdenbender de bien s'habiller. C'est une taille confortable. Je trouve que les tenues de Maria-Theresia sont très bien... nous les petites femmes voulons aussi nous amuser avec la mode et expérimenter. MT a toujours l'air très bien.

DeleteI love everything about this look on MT: Her hair, the sunglasses and the outfit's colour are all lovely. The folds of the asymmetrical tucked-in top are soft and flowing and give a gentle shape to the top; furthermore, the exposed trouser legs from hip to ankle lengthen her figure beautifully. For me this is a very successful outfit and MT looks fantastic.

The GD's slacks are too voluminous, especially from the waist to the crotch. In addition, if some of the width in the legs could be reined in, the look would be more streamlined, while still being true to the design. The top is awkward for many reasons: It's very slouchy and doesn't sit properly on her shoulders. It gaps in some pictures and slides down her arm in others. The way it's tucked in emphasizes the "poofy" fit of the slacks around the waist and looks sloppy, with messy folds emphasizing the questionable fit. It cuts her in half, which is not ideal. If the top were slightly shorter and untucked, the eye would be drawn to the vertical rather than the horizontal, and the look would be more elegant. Perhaps MT looked better in person, but in the pictures, she looks disheveled in comparison with others.

DeleteThe idea of MTeresa's outfit is original. The soft grey suits her. If the pants were a bit less wide and the boat neck more symmetrical it would be a regular classic look. But it is not bad like it is now. Many people are not ready for this but she is very fashionable. I love her grey shoes and handbag. Elke Budenbender is looking like a housewife ready to do her shopping. Don't see the need of a coat when the weather is rather hot. Rose

DeleteYes, a bold choice, but absolutely lovely, this nonchalant outfit, I like it very much. She is never going to hide the fact that she is short (and why should she?) so why not enjoy wide trousers, the slim ones would not make her one inch taller. The very best decision for her height has already been made: her hairstyle.

I much prefer this outfit as opposed to the other ensembles of the last few days. Though still alo't of fabric, she wears this outfit more successfully. The draping of the blouse and the slimmer sleeves work much better, the color grey is gorgeous, very pretty.

No add on bows or other usless, overpowering pieces of decoration.
Agree also that the soft grey colour is a good choice for the ensemble.
Love her softer hairstyle today! I like the outfit but wish there was less fabric all over as I feel she is swamped by too much fabric especially in the trousers--all the elements of the design would remain if 2-3 inches of fabric in the trousers were removed. MT looks good today--much better than in quite few of her outfits in the past few months.

MT certainly has made sure that all attention has been on her via her vulgar neon outfits over the past two days. At least today’s was a neutral color, if the design was overly complicated and overdone—as usual.
