She is looking good in the brown dress. It makes her look taller and her hair is beautiful.
The second outfit is good too but the waist of her white pants is a bit too high. Lucky the top is white too. From a distance it is looking good underneath the light Etro coat. Rose

I agree completely! Her hair with the brown dress is perfect. Janet

  3. Je ne sais pas donner ma préférence entre ces deux tenues dans lesquelles Maria Teresa est superbe. J'espère qu'elle va continuer à nous épater !

Two for two! I like both outfits on MT and her make-up is lovely in both cases.
Her style hits extremes, but this time it is at the good end of the extremes.

  6. Nice to see the Grand Duchess wearing a dress (a shift).
Don’t know why she is wearing a shawl.
Temperatures in Arles are very high at the moment, including the night temperature.
The second ensemble is very ‘arty’
Following along the ‘arty’ styles of Princess Delphine of Belgium

All in all, not too far away from being a wow vote.
p.s. Photo N° 5, always a pleasure to see the Arlesiennes.

Maybe because she lost some weight ? It’s always easier to dress nice if you’re a bit slimmer. At least that’s my experience.

I like both outfits on her very much. The brown is really elegant and very clever in all its verticality, it works so well. There are more than one reasons to drape a shawl like this, whatever her reason was, it looks good. The Etro coat is playful and so well combined, however, I would not let it fall from the shoulder. Her short hairstyle is excellent.

    1. Dear GM,
You are right, there is more than one reason to drape a shawl on your shoulders even when the temperature is very high. It could be part of the ensemble.
However, I think The Grand Duchess may be protecting herself from the risk of mosquitos.
Arle is often referred to as the capital of the Camargue.
The Camargue is a vast swamp land, world famous for its rice growing and flamingoes.
At this time of the year, in Arle, most events and restaurants are outdoors.
Unpredicted visits from mosquitoes can make life difficult if you are not sufficiently protected.

    2. Sorry ArleS and not Arle.
But in spoken English and French the "S" is not sounded

  9. The brown dress looks fabulous, love the color. The fit looks good, nice ensemble. The light colored wrap casually over her shoulders is a nice addition. Her second outfit equally lovely. The Etro coat looks divine, combined with her white top and pants, great. The pants in this instance look splendid and fit perfectly. Her hair and makeup are on point. Beautiful overall appearance, on both outings.

  10. Love the dress. Love the colorful coat.
Hate, hate, hate the high waisted trousers, especially since the color does not match the top. She's too petite for those pants. If she had not tucked in the top it would look 50% better.

I like the first outfit, good color and nice shape for her. The second was looking great until I saw the spaghetti strap, she needed to keep the cost, at all times, on her shoulders.
But overall better looks then het usual

She looks abnormally young for her age. Her face has changed a lot.
    Suits her well though.

For the first time I thought, she looks nice in this brown dress/outfit, then I get to the second outfit, what a mess as usual. We all know she is short, get a stylist who can help her with the height and dress her well. They have the money, but then I've heard she is a difficult woman to work with. Maybe no one wants to work with her. Too much botox, makeup, and the a sloppy second outfit, just ruins everything

  16. I’m sorry that nobody picked up the thread on the Arlésiennes (the women of Arles in their traditional costumes). Photo N°5
Such beauty, such elegance, such tradition, such femininity, such donators to Provençale history.
    Oh well, maybe another time.
