Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Oslo's oldest youth centre, Hammersborg. It has been 70 years since the Hammersborg club started, and the Crown Prince couple took part in the celebration event. Hammersborg youth club has nearly 150 members and the children are in 5th to 7th grade. At the club, there is a workshop for hobby activities, a music room and studio, a gaming room and a small gymnasium.

حذفHhm. This dress is ok-ish in theory, but it doesn´t look good on Mette-Marit. Too dark and depressing for June, the satin looks polyester-y and sweat-inducing, and the pattern creates unfortunate illusions of a belly.
ردحذفI know Mette-Marit likes this kind of stuff: long, floaty dresses, high necks, longer sleeve lengths, patterned fabrics. This is less frilly than sometimes, but I think she should stay away from all the floaty stuff in general and instead go for more structured designs and sturdier fabrics.
MM has given birth to 3 kids. She is not ashamed of her belly. She never has been. As fellow human being we should support all women's bodies, not bodyshame them. Can't we stop this?

Generally speaking though, I don´t agree at all that one should support all women´s bodies. There are shapes and sizes that aren´t healthy and I for one will not normalize those. That´s still not bodyshaming anyone, that´s just telling the truth. (The truth is never offensive, but it can hurt - if you live in a fake world.)
"The pattern creates unfortunate illusions of a belly" is definitely not body shaming. With this pattern and the flowy fabric, this would apply to anybody independently of family status, number of children, body form and weight. I don't like this dress on the model as well.

حذفI don`t like the dress at all.
You all seem to forget that CP Mette-Marit is often not feeling well due to the illness she has to coop with. Anyone thought about the fact that she probably takes a medicine to fight against that disease. We all know that prescription drugs have side effects. Is it is not more important that she is feeling well most of the time ? I think fashion and clothes come not in the first place any more, but feeling better and have a more or less normal life as a wife and a mother.
